This experience could really not be any worse. And the owner / manager could not be more arrogant ! Extremely poor communication when looking for tenants for me, hence don’t want to use them for management. However they took management fee, without providing any management service and THIS WAS EVEN BEFORE THE TENANCY STARTED! I received no service at all and I cannot be any more furious about it. I asked for a refund for the payments I made since I received no service at all but I was refused and told that they even made a “gesture of goodwill” by not charging me for 3 months for service I did not receive. I strongly advise anyone looking for management services to steer clear of this company！

HORRENDOUS!!! Never rent property with these people. Flat left in disrepair, including unable to open windows which left us unhealthy in a hot flat this summer and no workable oven. They advertised the flat with a car parking space but it turned out to be a garage a street away. (I have a campervan and too big for a garage! And was the only reason we went for the flat because of its parking space. And we've been gone more than a month and still waiting on our deposit back. Crap company and the staff don't care for renters, deeming them less than human beings because I can only assume we are not of the property owning crowd.

AWFUL. Would rate 0 stars if i could
Problems:
1. OVERCHARGED us every chance they could. Eg £323 for a plumber to come plunge the toilet for less than 30 mins! No extra tools needed!! Just a plunger!!!
2. Extremely slow sorting issues. Took over 2 months to have someone in to sort kitchen mice after the first complaint
3. 3 months after tenancy has ended and we still havent received the deposit. Its ‘in transit’ sorry wot
4. We left the house in BETTER condition than we entered it in as we hired a gardener and cleaners. And they made us pay £300 to cut a hedge??
5. THEY NEVER GIVE U 24 HR NOTICE WHEN ENTERING THE PROPERTY. even tho its stated clearly in the tenancy agreement
6. Black mould in 2 rooms (with people with asthma so can cause some rlly bad lung damage) was left ignored and unsorted.

My son rented a property with these agents and the whole year was a complete nightmare. They give a veneer of efficiency, and are are quick to take students money. My son rented a property with these agents and the whole year was a complete nightmare. They give a veneer of efficiency, and are are quick to take students money. Once you are signed up they really could not care about you. They are very tardy responding to queries, they seem to ignore regulations and the final straw was trying to hold on to more of the deposit than was reasonable. They certainly tried it on. It really was a very stressful year. The problem is that they know that the next year another group of unsuspecting students will be ripe for picking and the cycle will continue.

We are very unhappy with these agents. The agency fee is too expensive and it does not include any services, so you just pay �500 for nothing. Also, we were asking for an inventory, they sent it to us only after we asked 6 times, and when I checked the contract, they had written there that the inventory will be regarded as a true record, even if we do not sign and return it, within 7 days from the day we moved in. On the day that we were moving in, we asked for someone to meet us at the flat, to show us the bin room, bike room facilities etc, and they denied, so we had to go to their offices, where they gave us the keys. When we asked if there were any access codes for the bike room and bin room they said there weren't any and when we moved in we found out that there were but we didn't have them. We emailed them to ask and never received a reply back.. Very poor services and too expensive for nothing.

We are really happy to have found an agency like this. We found the flat on the website and we were able to fix the moving day when it was good for everybody (after a couple of weeks from the viewing). Now we are still living on this flat, we had to fix a couple of things into the bathroom, the shower and the light switch, they fixed everything after a few days from my request by mail.
On the moving day they gave us the rent contract in a bag with the brand pink flower and a bottle of prosecco to celebrate the happy moving day, amazing and unexpected gift.
So, I really recommend these nice and professional guys of the Cliftons Agency.

Whenever there was a maintenance issue, we'd ring up and basically be subject to abuse and accusations on the phone. We had a recurring problem with the boiler, and eventually we got a key cut for the plumber and dealt with them directly - the plumber also agreed they were a useless letting agents.
The fridge door broke at some point (not our fault), someone came to repair it best they could and said they'd inform the property company that the fridge needs replacing. Cliftons never replaced the fridge, nor informed the landlady that it was broken and we got billed for a new one when we left.
Think very carefully about renting a property through this agency. I really can't stress enough how terrible they are.

We arranged a viewing on a property, which we had to travel many miles for. It turns out we wasted alot of fuel, because we were informed that they would contact us on ASAP on the Wednesday, but have not been in touch since, and now we have now found the property has gone off the market. Nice of them to inform us!
Just another terrible company that don't care about potential tenants. I would avoid at all costs.
Thanks for the incurred fuel costs Cliftons - if you had no intention of us being tenants you could have informed us.
