Was about to rent a flat, they told me that I just had to get back home and pay a reservation fee of 750£ and they assured me that once that was done I would get the flat under the terms we had agreed on and that I had noting to worry about. I completed the payment as soon as I got home and right after they received it they called saying that that the terms had changed and if I wanted to rent it I now needed to pay a year upfront and also more importantly pay more then the original price we agreed on , these two things made the deal completely different then what it was originally meant to be and made it lose all of it's value so I told them that I couldn't go with these new terms and they refused to go back to the original ones. When I asked them to give me back the amount of reservation fee they refused and said that it was my fault if I didn't accept the new conditions and that they would keep the money. I kept asking them politely many times and pleading my case to get the money back but nothing. They kept saying that I was the one who pulled out when in reality they just came up with some new terms that were simply impossible to accept and they know it. Just a all around nightmare to work with from start to finish (hard to join/uncooperative ect...) and got scammed out of 750£

I let my apartment in Berkeley Street (W1) through Chestertons in Mayfair in 2018-19. I dealt with Eric and Chris in their lettings dept, and they were both v professional, and also achieved the full asking price at a time when the market was quiet. I let my apartment in Berkeley Street (W1) through Chestertons in Mayfair in 2018-19. I dealt with Eric and Chris in their lettings dept, and they were both v professional, and also achieved the full asking price at a time when the market was quiet. Chestertons was also true to its reputation in terms of the (high) quality of their tenants. So I can recommend the agency to other landlords in the area.

This was the worst experience I ever had. They are so incredibly slow in getting anything done for YOU but for themselves you have to pay ASAP. I was ready to sign an agreement over 20,000 per month for 2 years.. and they took my deposit sooo soon its like they couldnt wait for it. They said it... Read Full Review

I was ready to sign an agreement over 20,000 per month for 2 years.. and they took my deposit sooo soon its like they couldnt wait for it. They said it would secure the property. To my disappointment the property remained unsecured on the market. They did not deliver anything on time. They remained advertising the property. They basically lied to me and now they wont return my money. Crooks! Dont use them!
