The first ever Beresfords branch opened its doors for business in Upminster in 1968. Since then, although the Company has grown considerably, it has never lost sight of its roots and still takes great pride in offering a very personal and professional service to each and every one of its customers.
Many of t
he sales and lettings teams have been working locally for a number of years and some live in the area themselves.

Even though the fee was slightly higher than other agents, the quality of serviced they deliver was worth its weight in gold. When selling your house, you pay for what you get and cheaper is definitely not better. I have experienced this first hand.

I had encountered some very incompetent Estate Agents in the past and wanted to
find a better one. Beresfords had good reviews so I called and spoke with Charlotte.
Right from the first call I was impressed with Charlotte's professionalism and sincerity,
and the fact that she listened to, and observed, my specific requirements as the client.
She assured me that her service would be way better than what I had experienced
with others - and she delivered as promised.
The photography, particulars and marketing were all first , and I did not have to
intervene or make changes as I have done with other firms.
Even when we encountered a major hitch, Charlotte's team were professional, attentive
and proactive, and soon got the sale back on track.
Throughout the process the standard of the administration was faultless - again a standard
which other Agents don't seem to be able to achieve.
I will be using Beresfords Upminster again my next property sale.

Charlotte is professional, honest, trustworthy, thoughtful, and genuinely brilliant at her job. She also brings a wonderful sense of humour, which made the whole experience feel that much more personal and reassuring. I have already recommended her to all my family and friends and will to do so without hesitation.
Her fantastic team – James, Becca, Sharon, and Ian – were all equally amazing. Every interaction was handled with care, efficiency, and a real desire to help. The communication was always clear, timely, and honest, which made the process smooth and stressfree.
I was previously on the market with another agent, and without naming names, the difference was night and day — the service from the other agent was honestly appalling, and I’m so grateful I made the to Beresfords.

Best prepped when came to value the house, with lots of examples of resent sales in area, I had spent hours researching the local market and theirs was more indepth than mine, and gave what proved to be an accurate valuation to go to market with.
I liked the no quibble straight forward advice on best the way to market on Rightmove, and the advice on using the professional photographer with drone shots, ( I really was pleased with the photo's and believe they sold the house).
Talking to all the agents, I understand its a difficult market at the moment, but the team at Beresfords proved to be proactive and had 12 viewings lined up as we went to market and the house sold on the first day, what more can you want! All I hope now is that the backup in pushing the sale through the process is as good, from my experience so far its going well.

I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation the incredible service provided by Charlotte Micallef, the Branch Manager at Beresford Estate Agency in Upminster.
Before coming to Beresford, I had a very disappointing experience with another estate agency in Upminster. I found a property I liked but was told I could only proceed with the purchase I used their inhouse mortgage broker. I explained that I already had my trusted broker, who had previously handled the remortgage of my existing property. Despite making this clear, I was pressured to speak to their broker. Even after the conversation, I was bluntly told that unless I used their broker, I would never be able to move to Upminster. Unfortunately, I lost that property, which was a devastating experience me and my family, especially my children, as we were led to believe it was ours.
Soon after, I came across another property I liked – this time listed with Beresford. I booked a viewing, and we immediately felt it was the right home us. When I was asked about using a mortgage broker, I was honestly expecting the same pressure and outcome as before. However, to my complete surprise, the experience was entirely different.
Charlotte told me that I could use my broker – all she needed was to see my mortgage in principle and proof of deposit, which I already had ready from my previous application. She reviewed my documents promptly and professionally, and the very next day my offer was approved. We are now in the process of completing the paperwork, and what could have been another stressful experience turned into a smooth and reassuring one.
Charlotte’s professionalism, kindness, and efficiency made a huge difference. Her quick response and fair approach gave us confidence and peace of mind. She truly proved that not all estate agents are the same. Charlotte went above and beyond, and thanks to her, we’re now on the way to securing a home we love – without being forced to compromise on our financial choices.
Thank you, Charlotte and the team at Beresford Upminster – your integrity and customerfirst attitude will always be remembered.

He found the issue contacted the manufacturer as I needed parts & came the next day & sorted my boiler. I like the speed of everything & kept me in the loop on what was happening. I think it was excellent service.

The service from the outset was superb, and very easy my elderly father to follow. Nothing was too much trouble Charlotte and her advice was exactly what we needed.
The sale achieved the asking price within a very short period of time, with many potential viewers and buyers in Charlotte's contacts available to view very quickly.

I have had a wonderful experience with Beresfords and would unequivocally recommend them. I love the can do attitude resolving all my property related anxiousness including help with clearing, solicitors, surveyors, photos, cleaning etc. I really felt very relieved and positive having met them nothing was too much trouble.
