I recently had a really negative experience selling with Central. Despite the charm offensive at the beginning I found it very difficult to get through to anyone and my calls were often not returned. It became clear that their efforts are only put in to higher value properties when, quite late into my sale, Central listed the property I was purchasing. When I explained to Richard, the Walthamstow manager, what had happened he shouted at me down the phone and refused to remove the listing. Quite apart from this being ethically and morally wrong it was incredibly unpleasant and made the process even more stressful. Also quite unbelievable considering Central were working for me! I did not hear anything from anyone at Central after this until receiving the standard email at exchange. I would advise avoiding Central unless you want to be ignored, shouted at and gazumped by your own estate agent.
