I have written a long review on trust pilot that is available for reading, but they basically treated us horribly when we were first time buyers and attempted to get us to massively over pay, becoming rude and agitated when their tricks weren't working on us. They tried to tell us the bank who had down valued the property 'struggles to keep up with the market' (it's literally one of the biggest banks in the world), that we should be privileged to have even been accepted when there had been higher offers and larger deposits (which all mean nothing when the property wasn't even worth the asking price they had listed it for), then they tried to get us to do another valuation with a different bank even though they surely knew it would come back the same, seeing as the bank options we had were all using the same company for valuations, then they had the audacity to say 'could you not ask your parents for the money or just get the extra 60k together'… which was laughable, given that it wasn't even worth the asking price in the first place! We pulled out in the end as we didn't like how we were being treated by them, and surely the house went on to sell for what our bank had valued it at. So I think the people who really lost out where the poor vendors who had obviously been promised much more. We went on to buy a different property with a lesser known, less Instagram friendly estate agent and were treated with respect and the whole thing felt much more honest and open. Our house was valued by the bank at the price the estate agents had valued it at - they were clearly much better at their jobs that stow brothers! Our broker with over 20 years experience was relieved when we stepped away from stow brothers. I also had two friends who had the exact same issue with a larger down value on a property also. It seems to be all greed and lies and how things look with no actual substance when it comes to stow brothers. Don't fall for it! I certainly wouldn't buy them and most definitely wouldn't sell with them.
