5 Feb 2024Dear George, Further to your review, I am disappointed that this is deemed necessary. Simran's Head of Department has taken the time to respond to you and highlight the misunderstanding, and spoke to the Landlord on your behalf to seek flexibility, so to leave such a review does seem somewhat unfair. I and we understand that UK tenancies can be tricky, but to reconfirm, and as outlined in the tenancy agreement, the tenancy continues after the fixed term. It does not automatically end, and this is standard and good practice. Simran's email was intended as a courtesy as you had not been in touch, but it is not her responsibility to act for you. Simran mentioned the RPI increase as you mentioned you wished to stay, as this then aligns with the standard terms outlined in your contract. Nothing in the contract has been varied, and the contract is completely normal. All that Simran has done is courteously reach out to you, and confirm the contract details when you have responded. I invite you to revisit your comments.

8 Feb 2024The accuracy of the reply needs to be improved. Regardless of the intention, your reply should provide clear and accurate information rather than being misleading. The delay caused by your "sure" which made people misunderstand, resulted in an additional two weeks of charges for us. Had we been informed immediately about potential charges, I would have provided a decision promptly. As a result, we have to agree on the tenancy extension for more than 2 weeks. Moreover, I have not received a formal apology for the inconvenience and misunderstanding caused.
