Wouldn't even give a 1 star if possible. Honestly the worst estate agent I have ever dealt with. Then to move into a house with rubbish packed outside and the whole property stinking of smoke. The property had also been left in the emergency credit for the gas and electric which we had to pay to clear. After handing our notice in after living there for nearly 2 years we have been treated like rubbish. Had to chase for my deposit back which after ringing multiple protections schemes later found out my deposit had not been protected by anyone, they then tried to deduct more money after we had agreed on £50 already to be deducted he wanted £135 more extra to be deducted which I already though £50 was a steep price to be deducted for a touch up of paint!! Only after threatening to get my solicitor involved did they release my money! Sunflower Lettings is a con and they constantly lie saying people are out of the office to avoid talking on the phone, yet email 5 mins after the phone call as they can't deal with confrontation. The landlord was a disgrace aswel turning up at the property without notice and trying to get whole rooms repainted at my expense?! Absolute joke! Avoid at all costs unless you want to be chasing to get your money back!!

19 Nov 2018As the landlord of this property I can assure you I did not turn up at the property without notice. The tenants left rubbish outside the property which they promised to remove. I did not try to get a whole room painted at their expense and had to get two toilet roll holders that had come off the wall refitted because "they didn't know how they had come off the wall" and they then left the house smelling of dogs and which the new tenant complained about and had to get the carpets cleaned. The window sills outside which I cleaned for them before they moved in were caked in street soot and not cleaned ever throughout the tenancy. There were dents in the wall. I am sorry they were not happy when they left but to expect to just walk away paying £50 when I ended up paying £120 myself to sort out issues at the property after they left is very naive. Nevertheless I wish them well for the future and can assure them they will face much harsher, unfair and bigger bills in life in the future.

19 Nov 2018I'm naive?! The toilet roll holders came off the wall within about a week of moving in because they obviously were bodged in the first place. We removed our rubbish, we left recycling there which would have been taken away the follow day but again there was rubbish outside the propert when we moved in? We cleaned the windows throughout our tenancy and when we left the property please see attached photograph. The property is next to a busy main road so rubbish and dirt from the road happens every week. the property did have 2 tiny, short haired dogs live in the property for nearly 2 years. They don't mult, they hate the rain so barely smelt of dogs. But when we moved in the house stank of smoke as they had been smoking upstairs? You as the landlord should be prepared for general wear and tear which meant a fresh bit of paint that is all. We had the whole property cleaned as it is in our contract, you can't agree a price and then come up with a figure after new tenants have moved in? and the only reason I only paid the £50 is because my deposit wasn't protected which is illegal!!! You said you had to jet wash the decking and pay for that yet the letting agent got the jet wash out of his car as I was leaving. I have never lost any deposit before ever only with this property!

Toilet roll holders don't just come off the wall do they? Be serious. They have to be leant on heavily or pulled off through drunkeness or from clumsiness or a violent act. The stuff I saw that had been left by you outside the property was not recycled stuff, it was rubbish and junk and wood. Can't vouch for what the new tenant saw when she moved in but she said it cost her £75 to remove your stuff. I believe it was the same stuff I just mentioned. Doesn't really tally with your account does it? Don't pretend you cleaned the windows. No one never did and I had to remind you again when I turned up the second time before they were reluctantly given a vague wipe down. I did them properly after you left. The decking was properly jet washed after you left which I paid for. You also left unsightly wooden pallets in the garden for many months which i asked you to remove at the end of the tenancy and you tried to leave behind claiming they could be used as a garden table. I could go on and on but can't be bothered. As I said I cleaned the house top to bottom including window sills when you moved in and purchased you a new shower mixer for the bathroom. The previous tenants did smoke 'outside' in the back garden and insisted it was just in the garden and never in the house. I don't smoke and I believe I would have noticed and smelt it upstairs if that had been the case.
