I found Sure Property Solutions to be unhelpful, uninformed, and unprofessional at every stage of contact. They showed me a flat in Hanover that was just outside my price bracket, but had the advantage of including water rates which I figured would take the monthly figure down to something I could (at a stretch) afford. However, because they hadn't researched the flat properly, I was actually paying gas and electricity for the property below me in exchange for the subsided water rates – which I only found out after I had paid my deposit and handed in my previous notice. After being told that this wouldn't be a problem because it's just an office with a kettle in it

22 Feb 2016Thank you for taking the time to write a review however, the content is not completely correct. This property was a new instruction and whilst we are careful to accurately instruct our properties, it became apparent later that we had not been correctly informed and this we could not have known. As soon as this did become apparent you were offered a full refund of your holding fees or the option of additional clauses written into the tenancy to prevent you from being out of pocket. You opted to have the additional clauses added to the tenancy agreement which was done at no additional cost to you or your landlord. You have not informed us directly that you feel left out of pocket, only by leaving this review have we been made aware. These additional clauses were put in place to ensure against this. Should you wish to discuss this further then please contact the office directly as neither us or your landlord would want you to feel left out of pocket. I believe that saying we were unhelpful, unprofessional and uninformed is unfair as we went to great lengths to ensure you were satisfied in proceeding.

I found your service "uninformed" because regardless of whether you didn't research the property correctly, or if the landlord neglected to give you full disclosure, I had already commited to moving in, so an offer to refund my holding fee at that stage wasn't really a helpful option. I'm not sure if you remember, but we were still dealing with this issue over the phone on the day that I moved in? First it was 'an office for an art project with a kettle', then it was 'someone stays in there occassionally', when in fact it turned out to be a full studio flat with heaters, an oven, a shower, and a permanent residenent. My view is that "we could not have known" is not an appropriate get-out clause for a property lettings company. I found your service to be "unprofessional" when your representatives didn't tell new tenents about the <same> situation which caused me these issues - which I witnessed when they asked questions about the downstairs flat during their viewings - as well as turning up without prior arrangement. I don't know whether they were as uninformed as you were when we met for my viewing, or if they were deliberately hiding the information, but either way I don't believe that this constitutes professional behaviour. I found your service to be "unhelpful" generally, with delays getting back to me on simple requests, and refusing to talk to the landlord on my behalf once I had moved in. While you may not have managed the property itself, I was the one who was stuck in the situation without the support of the company who showed me the property and signed the contract on behalf of the landlord. I hope that helps clarify my experiences with your, and I'm sorry if you feel that any part of my viewpoint remains 'unfair'.
