I have dealt with many lettings agents before but none with this sort of lack of professionlism. Having arrived at my first location to view the house. I waited outside for the letting agent. Observing a couple leave the apartment block she greeted me with a "You for the viewing ya?". Walking up the stairs not a word from her - about the property or its surrounding area. Upon entering the flat - she walked in placed herself in a stationary position and said absolutely nothing regarding the flat unless I prompted to with a question. Asking her about the neighbouring tenants - she seemed to be bluffing her answer hundred percentage obvious she has no clue about the neighbours. When I said I was finished viewing - she gave a quick nod and I let myself out. Totally unacceptable. That was apartment viewing 1. An hour later I was viewing a second apartment. First of all I noticed how unprepared she was for this viewing. Again - I was waiting outside the building and only upon ringing the apartment flat did she come down somewhat 15 min later. Being a block viewing (which I was not informed about upon arranging) the other tenant viewing was talking about the lack of parking and she agreed informing us about she was blocking a drive immediately giving the impression "she just got here, in a rush and leaving again soon" walking upstairs she informed us the apartment was in no condition to view !! Yet she nevertheless guided us to view it - again showing lack of her not being prepared. The flat was in a condition that can only be described as appauling and how you let people view in this condition is not only unacceptable but unprofessional. Your lettings agents should arrive prior to the viewing to ensure the property is at a mininum standard for viewing. At expected the letting agent - just stood there again as before in a stationary position only informing another viewee not to look inside the bathroom. In my opinion this letting agent needs a course on basic communication skills as even if I liked any of these propeties I would request for a different letting agent. If her sales/lettings are down it is definately due to her lack of friendliness and communication skills. Two incidents with this letting agent - I will ensure none of my acquintances use this letting agent.
