Feeling quite let down by I G Property. I rented with them in my second year and it was decent, a liveable house for students and our problems were easily solved - however, for that property we were in direct contact with the landlords. With high expectations for my third year, we went with I G Property again. The service was rather disappointing this year. To begin with, they provided a broadband service that did not begin working until almost a month into the tenancy - paying £115/week for this property (bills included), I expected more than to be paying for utilities that were inaccessible. Secondly, we experienced multiple problems with the boiler over winter. It took multiple attempts to get this fixed, taking over a week to get the issue fixed, as they did not send the correctly qualified person multiple times. Once again, I was not paying this much to have utilities that did not work and were not fixed. Another important thing to note was that the maintenance people began working on the exterior, painting the fences black. This was fine, except they never finished the job, and left paint cans and rubble laying around for months. We had to ask, months after the work began, to get the rubble discarded of. There was still some in the garden that had been there since before we arrived. Finally, I G Property have just processed our deposits. They had taken almost £80 from my deposit, and slightly less from one of my house mates. We have not received an email detailing the reasons behind the deductions. I was the last to leave the property and fully cleaned the house, scrubbed the floors, and left the fridge-freezer even cleaner than when we arrived. We were unable to fill out an inventory in the first 7 days of the tenancy as myself and another housemate could not get to the property and therefore could not inspect it within the time allowed. They said we could fill it out when we arrived but the form did not allow us to do it. To conclude, I am disappointed with the service that they have provided us this year and do not believe that the property was worth the amount we paid, especially considering we are students. The letting was £115 per person per week, which amounts to almost £1400 per month (3 tenants).

They will take your money, as much of it they can get their hands on but they won\'t fix ANY problems in your house, you\'ll even go without water/electricity if they can\'t be bothered. If you get into any difficulties, they won\'t care. If your guarantor dies, they won\'t be sympathetic, they\'ll simply inform you to get a new one. They\'ll take money from your account when you\'re not expecting and will bully you and not stick to their word. Anything they can do to take your money they will do and because you\'re a student, you\'ll take it. Well don\'t! Just don\'t even bother with this God awful, money grabbing, patronising, upsetting, lazy company. You deserve better. Good luck.

For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
