DO NOT USE THIS LETTING AGENCY! THEY ARE APPALLING! If I could give minus stars I would! The house appeared great when we viewed it and the rent was quite low compared to some houses we'd viewed; however, we were met with a huge number of problems whilst living there and when getting out deposit back after our tenancy. There were many problems with our house throughout the year, including a boiler which constantly broke, a shower which often leaked and another shower which often overflowed due to poor piping causing a leak through to the lounge, broken chairs which were never properly fixed and very poor quality mattresses. We had to enlist the help of the SU to get new mattresses because the letting agency were being very difficult even though the mattresses were very old, stained, broken and extremely uncomfortable! The ongoing problems we had throughout the year always resulted in a member of the maintenance team coming to 'fix' the problem which often appeared to be a makeshift solution because things continued to break/leak/remain damaged. After all the problems we had during the year we were then met with even more after moving out. We had left the house in spotless condition after thoroughly cleaning and leaving it cleaner than it was when we moved in (it was filthy and appeared to have not been cleaned at all). There was no reason for us to have our deposits taken off of us because we had not damaged anything, and the house was clean. After waiting until mid-September, Uni2Rent finally got in touch about our deposit return and wanted to take £940 of our £1250 deposit for charges which were total bogus! Most of the charges were for things which were there before we moved in as well as a cleaning charge of £185 despite the house being left in spotless condition! Fortunately, we had been very thorough when we moved in and made a very thorough inventory with notes about the condition of all the rooms and damage and cleanliness as well as taking lots of photos. It took me several weeks since Uni2Rent continued to ignore the evidence and try to catch me out at every opportunity, but with all the evidence I had they finally agreed to return most of our deposit money, minus the cleaning charge which they refused to remove. We are now in dispute with the letting agency over this cleaning charge, which is taking up even more time and energy. This letting agency claim to be 'recent graduates who care about students' and who understand what it is like to be students who are ripped -off by landlords and letting agents when in reality, that is what they do. They appear to be a money-making scheme, just out to make profit from and exploit students! If you already rent with Uni2Rent, a word of advice to please be as thorough as you can with your inventory, taking photos and in any correspondence with them so that you always have evidence of what has occurred and what you are and are not responsible for. If possible, arrange a check-out inspection which you can be present at the try and avoid bogus charges. Otherwise AVOID THIS LETTING AGENCY AT ALL COSTS!

Uni2Rent are notorious scammers. You'll see evidence of this from many other tenants if you look at reviews on StudentCrowd, or if you type their name into Twitter.
