At the outset, of all the local agents, WJ Meade ie Mike conveyed the most enthusiasm and appreciation of the Victorian house that had been the family home for over 50 years. So as well as getting the house sold, they also had to contend with the emotional stuff about letting it go. I couldn't have asked for a better service. I felt supported throughout. Mike gave great initial advice on how much effort to put into redecoration and on valuation, Damien handled the initial offers and negotiations with skill and sensitivity, and promptly, at all times including weekends. Mike was on the case throughout, kept me informed of progress, was always willing to go the extra mile, and his experience and knowledge (including relationships with local solicitors) proved invaluable in getting a successful outcome, especially in the context of the wider housing market. Very, very pleased.
Comment on agent fees
Great value for money. In the end it's the result that counts and it's a false economy not to go for the agent you think is the best. I'd recommend a real high street agent of WJ Meade's calibre over an on-line one anyday.
