The agency helped me find a flat in Nottingham during my first year. I had a problem with the landlord. Unfortunately, I should have contacted them to get assistance. I had a conversation with Mr William Brandley who saw my original negative review to explain how the type of contract I signed meant negotiating the return of the deposit directly with the landlord. If you are in such position in the future, don't make the mistake of negotiating with the landlord if you are being treated unfairly. Give them a call, and they may be able to help. Always get informed by experts as Slater and Brandley instead of making your own decisions, especially if you are an international student and are not aware of the regulations in the UK regarding lettings.

5 Oct 2018Hello Ezequiel - Will Brandley here. I have tried to call you on a number of occasions and left a voicemail today but I am yet to hear back. I have checked our system and can see that we acted on a Tenant Find Only" basis for this particular landlord client. What this means is that we have no control over how the tenancy is handled after the point at which you sign your tenancy agreement. If there was a problem at the end of your tenancy then you really should speak with the landlord direct and not leave negative reviews for a third party who have had no involvement throughout. You could have called us prior to leaving this review and explained the circumstances - we would have been more than happy to explain your rights. One of those rights is that of a fair, third party adjudication of your deposit if you disagree on the condition of the property at the end of your tenancy. Have you been through this process? We did not have any involvement with the deposit following the point in which it was sent to your landlord (the start of the tenancy), therefore how can we be blamed for disagreements when you left? To summarise, we do not deserve this review. I would be very grateful if you were to call me back to discuss this or simply delete the review altogether. I would also be more than happy to help you moving forward if you are still having problems with the landlord. Kind Regards, Will Brandley
