In all honesty, it's better to be homeless than to go through this agency. We were 3 students renting through them, we paid more than 3k per month, so not a cheap price. From day one we started having issues, we asked for the place to be furnished, and they couldn't have been cheaper, provided us with the smallest couch I've ever seen; and drawers that were practically made out of cardboard. Only got worst from there on; we had an issue with the Gas, and had no heater during winter, of course they did not reply, and left us a few days in the cold, only to try to make us pay for the repair later. Second issue was we started getting mice, when keep in mind we had a cleaner coming twice a week so the place was spotless; according to the man who came to help us with that problem, the mice problem was not new and there before we moved in; they just didn't inform us. But the absolute worst, is that when we checked out they took almost our entire deposit, something close to 2K. When we found the apartment through them, we explained we were only in London for 6 month, and Fiag explained to us it was no problem, we could add a break clause, so we negotiated a break clause after 6 months. When we checked out they found us a small point in the tenancy agreement saying that even with a break clause, they would charge us agent fees (over 1.2k). We were never informed about this and clearly asked about the termination fees before, we acted in good faith and they are just thief. Long story short, we are currently in discussion with lawyers to try getting back our deposit, all I suggest is do yourself a favor and stay away for this agency.

21 Apr 2022Can't work out how to write my own review for this letting agent but they are diabolical, they have not fixed our ceiling since a leak ripped a hole in it in november 2021 (i'm writing this in april 2022), our housemate was shocked by an exposed wire which they had PAINTED OVER, and the same handyman is sent out for every issue- when our fridge stopped working instead of changing the american plug he just messed with it so it would fit into the UK mains socket, which surely must break the law? NEVER RENT WITH THIS AGENT THEY ARE AWFUL COWBOYS

11 Sept 2024My experience with Stelfort was horrific. Please stay away from these people. The properties they let are full of damp and mould.. and they refuse to deal with it. They also falsely advertise flats by using pictures from another flat. When I ran into problems with the property they let me I was not only bullied by them, but also the vague management company they work for. My deposit was not put into a deposit holding scheme until a few days before I left. I never saw the money again. When I complained about everything the team refused to put me in touch with management. Instead an Administrator responded telling me “you are aggressive.” Come on now Karen. I’ve launched a big complaint against them. Do your research people, once you do you will see how shady they are. Who hides their management team??????
