Hi, I have just come out of a year tenancy with BigBlue Lettings in a shared house with 2 other tenants. I am a student at Leeds Beckett University. I would like to advise anyone considering taking out a tenancy with this agent to think again, this organisation is far far away from professional. Firstly, the communication between tenants is absolutely horrendous. this agent will not reply to your emails. Another example of this would be that a WhatsApp group was set up between us tenants and the letting agent, this group was labelled as the first port of call between tenants and the agent, this was not the case. This Whatsapp group was not manned by anyone, even when there was a problem, there was no reply. Secondly, this is also to add to the unprofessionalism of the organisation. One of the tenants sharing with us managed to get around signing the initial contract however, the letting agents still allowed this tenant access to the property. Several months later, this tenant decided not to pay his rent properly, which amounted to about £700. The letting agents seemed to not take this seriously at all, personally, I think that there should have been an eviction notice for the tenant to give an incentive to pay the arrears. Lastly, the company claims that they will inform you about house viewings, this is the case around 70% of the time. The other 30%, they will just show up or let you know around 30 mins before the viewing. As stated in the second paragraph of this review, I cannot stress enough how unprofessional this company is. DO NOT LET WITH THEM.

4 Sept 2020I was to asked for this WhatsApp inclusion, and declined. It's a Landlord being cheap that's all, does not want to pay the already 'cheap' going rate for normal texts. I would advise any one 'keep your receipts!' Right about now I am being accused of not paying my rent, when I paid early! Debt recovery agencies are being threatened against me, would you believe it? Never missed a rent payment and this is how your treated for making an early payment! I enjoyed reading your honest review of the Company, I can do better than these!

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
