Arranged a viewing of a property for 6 o'clock. Left work earlier to make it although the agent did not show show up. Called Sam and he told me that he tried to get hold of me, he wasn't sure if he used my work landline (always answered within 1 ring) or my mobile number which is always active and got an active voicemail set up. He could't answer my question why he hasn't emailed me (we never spoken before, we were using emails to communicate) and completely ignored my wasted time. Will never ever deal with this agency again. It is really sad that this person is a branch manager. No professionalism whatsover.

I do apologise for any inconvenience caused and please be assured the I have spoken to my team about the importance of following up with an email when we're not able to reach clients on the telephone. I have looked into the matter in detail and spoken to Sam about the incident and he informs me that the phone number given to us on the initial email inquiry didn't match the number you called us on yesterday; both numbers being exactly the same, except for the last digit being different (a 7, instead of an 8). It's standard procedure that we call to confirm all appointments, and we have a working telephone number on file for applicants when meeting them outside of the office environment - this is for our agents safety, as laid out by 'ARLA Propertymark', one of our trade-bodies as best practice. However, learning from our mistakes, we will in future email clients if their numbers don't connect as a follow up. If you wish to speak to me directly, then I would be happy to take your call. 6 Jul 2018I clearly stated that I would like to be contacted via e-mails so did not understand why the agent attempted to call me at all. Even if that wasn't stated, I would still expect an e-mail follow up or when the agent plans to call, they normally double check the contact details. I should be also informed that you will be attempting to contact me via phone as this is required for your safety. Worth putting it in your e-mail signature. It is not going to change the fact that I lost money as I had to take time off work to view the house which I haven't viewed. I strongly suggest talking to someone who could advise you what can be done to improve how the business functions as what happened yesterday, never happened to me before and I have arranged a lot of viewings.

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.
No procedure set.
