Avoid, Avoid. Avoid.
This company first interest is to make you pay a 600£ deposit before they do anything, and if for some reason you can't get the property. your deposit is wiped off. They showed me a few properties, I liked one and asked to reduce the rent, so I was asked to make an offer, which I did and was accepted, that's the only paper I signed, They never explained to me any terms and conditions before I paid, never signed one anyway, after paying, they told me they had a credit company check that does the work for them, which doesn't worry me as my name is totally clear, The credit company report was clean, but they couldn't get hold of our landlady to get reference, so the process started to get delayed,, while I made it clear that I I have a dead time of the 27th of January to start moving to my new flat, On Monday 29th I emailed them to say that they have till end of day to give a reply or give me back my deposit of 600£, they never replied, so I decided to take a property from another real estate, this agent was clear and transparent, they didn't take a penny til they secured the property was mine, that is the real good work of an honest agent, unlike Greene Co. they want to secure your deposit is in their pocket, so they can do what they want, Their reference check was unfinished after almost a week time, which usually takes a couple of days max, I requested to talk to the office manager, I was ignored and never got that call back, every time I called she was in a meeting and never bother to call back.
They refused to give me my deposit back, saying I withdrew from the offer, while there was no firm offer in the first place, they never emailed or said the property is yours. To get the deposit they called me over 10 times in a couple of days. Harassing to get my deposit, slow and inefficient to solve my issues.

What agent could do to change your mind?
The agent should not have put up a fight in returning the reservation deposit, when clear defective legal title problems and other legal issues emerged, that undoubtedly affected the material value of the property. They should not also push prospective buyers into placing reservation deposits when they are fully aware that these serious legal issues may well put buyers off from completing the transaction when they come to light. Frankly I expected more integrity and honesty from them, but perhaps I was naive to do so.
