Found to what was a perfect flat for me and girlfriends first home together back in April 2011. We immediately paid £150 to secure property and move in 4 weeks later. That's when trouble all began had several issues getting hold of jane in the office. As one day I was having a hot shower before work, the water temperature changed dramatically and scalded my chest. I ended up in hospital due to this with severe blistering and discomfort. When finally got hold of the office it took close to a week to have this repaired. I chased up everyday, as it was just a shower room we had in property. The shower was completely replaced. Then couple of months down the line. Our boiler broke for first time of a saturday night in mid november. We contacted emergency gas engineer out to repair he got the boiler working for a few days. On the Monday I received a phone call from office asking why I called out and why it couldn't wait till Monday as landlord was refusing to pay bill for repair. I was told not to contact emergency gas engineer again. And speak with office hours.
The boiler went again. Another engineer from different company came off and said boiler was broken and it would need to be replaced! Now this is the fun part. The landlord dragged his feet. It took over 4 weeks to have it replaced. The landlord turned up at door with plug in radiators and £20 to heat the house. 2 measly heaters for a 2 bedroom house. We were compensated of around £150 for problem. Even thoo property was inhabitable for weeks as we had to move in with my parents with period it was broken due to how cold property was. A joke it was to receive just a third of which I was paying back for a month not in the property to negligence of landlord and agency
As I mentioned also above we paid £150 to secure flat. It was only when we contacted a solicitor he informed us it was an illegal payment they took and it should have been taken off our deposit to which it was never. Jane from office was adamant it was all above board. It's only when we moved out property this all came to light. And to be honest back then I was just happy to leave it and never contact again. I find it funny that read reviews before posting my own that they have taken same payment from other tennents and keeping the money. My personal opinion is someone in one of the offices must be keeping that money as it can't be going through the books as it's not a fee they are entitled to. And I can't help but think how many more have they did this to. It's looking back now that I'm with a different letting agency and being treated fantastically I relised how very poorly I was treated. And ripped off by core. If reading this i hope it stops you making same mistake i did by letting off this agency.

Jane and Maria as useful as a plastic spoon in a sword fight. No help what so ever. Jobs would have been easier made redundant and an automated phone system in place
