I cannot stress strongly enough that you avoid this estate agent at all costs. They are a sham of a company, highly unprofessional, rude and just plain liars. Be wary of other reviews detailing excellence, wouldn't surprise me if they wrote them themselves.

We have had numerous problems throughout our tenancy which have taken weeks or months to resolve. They do not use any form of Deposit Protection Scheme and therefore are breaking the law. I am currently seeking legal advice and will be privately prosecuting the company if a public prosecution is unavailable.

We have been promised our deposit on several occasions only to be fobbed off by whoever is in the office at the time or told that only Duncan can deal with this. The catch? Duncan is never there and doesn't have a mobile phone. Sounds like something's not quite right? It's because there isn't anything right about them.

I can only assume that others are, have been and will be in the same boat as us.

AVOID.

Ps. You may notice they reply to some reviews and dispute these claims of inability and unprofessionalism - I wouldn't believe a word that comes out their mouths. Use at your own peril.

After I moved out, Duncan Chase was not able to refund my deposit. I am waiting for a quarter of a year now. Even worse than this fact itself is that when you call them to ask, they cannot say anything and promise a call back but this call never happens. They just don't give a s*t about their customers.

Our tenants have been paying the rent in dribs and drabs, but they have been paying it. Duncan Chase have not been transferring the money to us accordingly.

We have been calling Duncan Chase to chase the payment everyday for the last 6 weeks, but the staff there say that the only person who can handle it is Duncan Khan, who is a very busy man. He is never there. Apparently he doesn't have a mobile phone either. The staff can only send him messages and they say that their hands are tied.

I understand that he is very busy, but then he should delegate handling payments to another member of staff. By not paying us, he is also in breach of the contract we signed with him to manage our property.

Trust this agency at your peril. First, they took a holding deposit from myself and three other prospective tenants. The proceedings from this point onwards were farcical. Bode is unbelievably incompetent, he hassled us for details which he had already been sent and his response when we corrected him was that 'the office has been busy recently'.
Suffice to say we did not secure the property and we are still to receive the holding deposit back from them.
When I went to the office to try and discuss the issue the police were called as they are just too cowardly to speak in person. I also have a video recording of a staff member being very aggressive to me and attempting to swipe the phone from my hand.
Legal action will almost certainly have to be taken.
Furthermore, they do not seem to be part of an ombudsman scheme, hence they are not a transparent agency.
Do not deal with this company, they try to intimidate customers into backing down and looking at their online reviews no one has a good word to say about them.

This company took a holding deposit of £920 and then claimed that we failed reference checks and that £702 would be deducted for agency fees. There is no evidence that reference checks took place despite me repeatedly asking for this information -furthermore it is beyond unlikely that we would have failed these reports given we have high income jobs, no previous credit history etc... To add insult to injury, 6 months later and the £218 difference has still not been returned.
