Our entire tenancy with Portico was absolutely shambolic and stressful. It took months and constant emails, phone calls and chasing to get simple things addressed. I have been renting in London for nearly 10 years and have never ever came across such awful and appalling service from any estate agent. Their fees were almost as high as the monthly rent we pay! Our tenancy ended on the 9th of December. They planned the check-out only because we reminded them a day earlier, although we have given them the two-month notice. Comments on Agent Fees
Their fees are not transparent and extremely high. 250 for new tenants, 90 for contract renewal, 180 for check-out. If they treated us like customers we would be more open to paying them, but they are breaching all their contractual requirements, they do not know how to manage properties, they are not organised and they are avoiding any communication. They have not responded to any of the three emails in the last two weeks. Unacceptable.
