   My house was up for sale for just over six months and during the whole process I found the whole team at Town and Country to be fully committed to helping me and ensuring the upmost attention in achieving a sale- I am happy to report this happened in early May and I am now sold and moved.

   In addition we also have a property that is also rented via Town and Country and this has also been very well managed by the Drayton Team

   We decided to consider Town and Country for handling the rental of our property as a family member of ours who was actually a tenant of theirs commented how efficient and helpful they had been when she was viewing her current property.
   Colin was friendly professional and honest in his appraisal of the property. Sarah was very helpful and always went the extra mile to help with our never ending questions. As first time landlords we were really pleased that we had the help of this team, their fees are fair for the assistance you receive and we would defiantly recommend them to others as the number one choice. You get a sense of small company values with corporate company knowhow and confidence. They let our property within 2 weeks. Should we choose to sell our property in the future they would be our first point of contact.

   This agent has successfully sold my property and I will moving at the beginning of May 2013, they initially acted as a sole agent but I was approached by so many other agents who felt they could market my property more successfully, I decided to place the property with a second agent as well but they did not introduce anybody

   Hilary contacted me as she was aware that I was looking for a flat for my mother.Hilary gave me a visit that day then another with my mother also the same day, we said yes, Hilary was also helpful with any information for example explaining probate to us. She also helped with a lot of phone/emails when neither myself or the sellers could get the solicitors working with what appeared to be a simple transfer.
   she always kept us informed of all the steps of our purchase,Hillary also did this in a polite and professional manner.

   From our initial contact with Town and Country, Colin inspired confidence in us that he would be able to sell the flat. He was highly professional and explained fully what his agency would do to promote the property, and his selling strategies appeared to go well beyond what other agencies were proposing. We were left in no doubt that Town and Country would be the best choice for us.

   Having then signed up, we dealt exclusively with Hilary. I though she was truly outstanding. Throughout the selling process she was always polite, cheerful and efficient. She dealt professionally and sensitively with all parties concerned. Hilary returned calls promptly and I felt she was totally trustworthy and reliable. A gem!

She was easy to talk to and when complications arose (as they always do with house moves) she worked toward resolving issues so we could move as soon as possible. We've dealt with Albert for our viewings and all of our telephone contact, he has made the whole experience a pleasure.    I would thouroughly recommend this company and be very pleased to use them in the future (if we were not relocating out of the area). I feel that their fees are very fair (lower than their less competent competitors) and the service they provided was of a very high standard. This was initiated in the market appraisal visit by Colin Shairp and continued by Hilary and her colleagues, Sarah and Albert.
   Our buyers however used the services of Verisona solicitors, who are reccomended by Town & Country Southern, and we found that they did not assist in a smooth sale of our property and were blunt to say the least! I would suggest very strongly that T&C no longer recommend this company.
   In summary, a fantastic company, very professional and I would like to thank them very much for all their assistance in our sale!

As the Chief Executive of Verisona, while noting that the comment is not made by our own client, I am disappointed that the vendor was not impressed with our service; however, as stated Mr Penney was not our client and it is therefore difficult for me to comment on the transaction from his perspective. We will always act in the best interest of our own client while trying at all times to bring every transaction to the best conclusion for all concerned. I can confirm that our client is perfectly happy with our service in this purchase.

    I was recommended to Town and Country by the principal of the the local Fine and Country office in Fish Hoek, Cape Town, where I live. My sister and I were selling our deceased parents home and as we both live abroad, she in Canada, it was imperative that we had an agent we could feel confident about. We both met Colin Shairp the principal and were immediately impressed with his professionalism and we also had a similar feeling about the other staff in his office. It wasn't an easy sale as my parents had entered into a equity release scheme with a company whose manner made life awkward for all concerned. However, Town and Country stuck to the task and found a buyer. More importantly they kept the process moving smoothly in spite of the shoddy way they were treated by the people acting for the equity release company. In that respect "full marks" to Sarah and Colin. Very professional, knowledgeable and agreeable people to work with. I have no hesitation at all in recommending them.

    I had 6 estate agents come and view my property once I had decided to rent it out. I chose Sarah from Town and Country as she stood out to me as a friendly and approachable agent.
    As a first time landlord I had many questions and all were answered promptly and professionally by Sarah. I felt she always explained points clearly to me.
    Advertising and viewings were arranged swiftly and within a short time we had the perfect tenant.
    If the need arises again for a letting agent, I will not hesitate to contact Sarah.

    A long haul ... 18 months from start of marketing to exchange/completion. Three Buyers and eventually a long chain to delay and frustrate before a resultant sale. Sound marketing advice from Colin at the beginning of the sale, although it could be said that the asking price was too optimistic at the start that could have delayed a sale. Good support throughout the experience by the office and mainly Hilary (with some back-up from Sarah) ... some failure of the fortnightly contact that was promised. Overall good satisfaction of the service provided.

    I chose Town and Country Southern to help me sell the house because of the positive reviews of other customers on the All Agents web site. I was not disappointed, they were excellent. The house was on the market for 5 months. The marketing effort was impressive and constant using several channels, including social media. I received regular Rightmove performance reports and was particularly impressed at how well Sarah kept the rest of the team informed of the progress of the sale so that whenever I telephoned I was able to get answers and get messages from and to Sarah. I had 14 viewings and 3 offers and a highly professional service throughout with good feedback after the viewings where appropriate. Every offer was carefully investigated and discussed with me so that I felt fully in the picture. The best part of the service came at the end when the final negotiations were concluded quickly and smoothly.

    At the start of the viewing process we didn't have any direct contact with the estate agents so all viewings were with the owners so the only contact was when making appointments, it may have been nice to meet them but appreciate things can get busy. Once our offer had been accepted on the property Hilary and Sarah couldn't do enough to help and given we were having problems with the sale of our own property they were good at chasing our estate agents and solicitor to try push things along with our buyer. They were also good at communicating our good intentions to our vendors. It was at this stage in the process that I found them most helpful and reassuring. And so a big thank you goes out to them for that! :)

We thought that Colin was the most professional and showed more interest than the others which is why we decided to go with Town and Country.     We chose Town and Country to sell our property because we wanted someone who can provide a reliable and personal service. Anyone who has been in a property chain will understand the stress it may cause and through our past experience, we don’t want a big chain agent or someone who only interested in the commission at the end of the sell. As we don’t live in the area so choosing a reputable and reliable agent is the most important first step. Colin is very professional and knowledgeable about the market and they use more advertising tools than many other agents.
    Sarah has been very professional in handling the sale of our property and she has kept us informed through every step of the process. She has been excellent throughout and we can honestly say that without her we won’t be so calm this time round!

    We will definitely recommend T&C to anyone who wants a personal, professional first class service, no matter if you are buying or selling.
