   3 years ago we sold my late mothers flat through Simmonds. Dean was very professional and thoughtful and found a buyer in a very short time.
   In one of our chats we mentioned, that we are interested in buying a bungalow in the near future.
   We where more then surprised when Dean phoned us three month later and showed us the perfect propery for our needs.
   Dean and Pat went out of they way to make the whole prociture as easy and quick as possible and we can't thank them enough for all their help.
   Simmond also found the perfect tennand for our old hous!
   We would reccoment Simmonds to anyone, We have not met a more caring and passionate company.

   After renting our house for 4 years after we moved to Bournemouth, we decided to sell. From the very beginning Gary was pro-active in selling our old home. We lived away from the property so Gary kept in touch most weeks and even e-mailing us when we were on holiday in Europe. When the property was sold we had to rely on Gary to arrange certain things, like a gardener to clear the garden and someone to take the snooker table away. In this he and his staff went to a lot of rouble to help in the sale. We have no hesitation in recommending this agent for both renting and selling.

    I recently sold my late mother's house through Simmons & Sons. My main contact was Pat Richardson and I cannot rate her work highly enough. Without fail, Pat was professional, sensitive and extremely efficient. Pat is very knowledgeable and I was never in any doubt that the advice she gave me was accurate and in my best interests. Issues and queries were dealt with promptly, and the whole process from valuation and marketing to completing the sale was carried out with calm efficiency. The property was marketed at a sensible price and I was happy with the outcome of the sale. Although Pat was my primary contact, Dean Pearce was also involved during the sale and he was also very quick to respond to queries and was always informative and helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend this branch of Simmons & Sons, they really were excellent.

    I used Basingstoke Simmons to sell my late mother's house in the weeks after her sad death. Both Dean and Pat were extremely sensitive and understanding of my feelings, yet still managed to be thoroughly efficient and professional behind the scenes, selling the house for me at a realistic but not too low price in just 3 weeks and progressing it to completion with the minimum of fuss. They are a well established and highly thought of agency in our area, and I would not hesitate to recommend them.

    Both Dean and Pat were very helpful throughout the whole selling process. Providing useful and honest feedback and communicating with me on a regular basis, keeping me informed of what was going on. When the original buyer fell through, they were proactive in finding a new buyer and once the price was agreed, everything went through extrremely quickly. I would use them again.

    I have rented a property via Simmons and Sons in Marlow for nearly 12 months now and on the whole have been really pleased with their service. The flat hadn't been lived in before I moved into it and there were teething problems with the water system initially - I had to push to get things done to begin with, but subsequently came across Gemma, who is now my first port of call for any issues: she's friendly and helpful, and extremely efficient. I would definitely recommend her services, and she's a credit to the company.
    As a small thing, the attitude of some of the staff on the phone has occasionally left a little to be desired (I would go so far as to say curt once or twice), and they don't give their name when you answer so you have no idea who you're dealing with - this would be useful for continuity and improved customer service.
    Overall though, they've been very good and I would recommend them as an agency.

    Having dealt mainly with Pat Richardson, I would recommend these people to anyone. They are intelligent, customer aware, market aware. If you listen to them and let yourself be advised by them, they get realistic results, in realistic time scales, with the least amount of stress on your part. What more could you ask for?

    Dean and the team provided a very professional service in the sale of our house. Dean explained the process and local market situation thoroughly - he took the time to understand our wishes and needs. He ensured that he absorbed everything about the property, from its history to its features. Having made a thorough survey of the surrounding area, he ensured our property was priced accurately and appropriately. The viewings were attended by Dean (or his team) who ensured that the customer had all the information they needed to make a decision. All questions raised by the customer were answered and the customer was allowed to peruse the property unheeded. Our property sold within 6 weeks: all in all a fantastic service. We would definitely recommend.

    During our 18 month tenancy of a fully managed property through Simmons & Sons, my Fiance and I have dealt with staff at both the Marlow & Henley-on-Thames branch. This was invaluable as it illustrated how much time he put into marketing this particular property.     After having 3 estate agents round we invited Dean from Simmons & Sons to give us a price on our property.. I found Dean to be very polite, honest and genuine.. No sales pressure or bobby ball like most agents.
    We agreed on a sale price & within days our house was on the market..
    We sold our house 7 Days later to the first viewer for the asking price (you can't get much better then that!).
    From then on Pat from Simmons & Sons took over the sale process and I have to say she really worked hard to get this to go as smoothly as possible.. She was always reachable and always helped when needed..
    I would highly recommend Simmons & Sons to anyone wishing to sell, buy, or let a property..

    Simmons sold my late fathers house for me in 2012. Of three agents I 'interviewed', Simmons gave what I believed to be the most realistic and sensible valuation (middle of the three) and also had with reasonable fees and terms.
    Once I accepted their proposal, the details were quickly and accurately written up and the house was sold within a week for the full asking price. Simmons checked the buyer to ensure they were in a position to purchase and advised me accordingly.
    During the process of the sale, Simmons were the driving force, regularly contacting the buyers solicitors and my own throughout to ensure things moved quickly.
    My main contact with Simmons was Pat Richardson. I have nothing but praise for her professionalism and attention to detail. On the few occasions that I had communications with other members of the Simmons team I found them all to be knowledgable and well informed too.
    When the time comes to sell my own house it will be through Simmons.

    I was selling my Mother's apartment and Simmons told me they could sel lit within 6 weeks. They were true to their word - we put it on the market at the end of OCtober, exchanged contracts at the beginning of December and will close in early January. They managed the clearing of the property, the removal of items to the auction house and kept me informed even though I live in America. I was very happy with their service and the process.

    I've dealt with many Estate Agents over 30 years, however Jaqueline Hickman of Simmons and Sons in Marlow is the rudest, arrogant and vindictive agent I have ever had dealings with.
    The property we rented was filthy and very tired, having been poorly maintained by the Landlord.
    On leaving the property, following an attempted burglary and finally vandalism to our car, we were insulted by Ms Hickman, who claimed we had not cleaned the property.
    Outrageous behaviour by a very unprofessional Company.
    DO NOT ever use Simmons and Sons

    My Daughter had a tenancy on this property from 16/02/12 until 05/10/12. The property was very grubby when it was taken over and the laminate floors so dirty, your feet stuck to them ! Taps were loose and there was a large stain on the bedroom carpet. The TV aerial was disconnected. We asked for repairs to be undertaken and the agent failed to rectify the problems.
    At the end of the tenancy, a long list of dilapidations was presented to us and the deposit is being witheld.
    Unbelievably they state the property will need to be profesionally, even though it has been cleaned and left in a much higher standard than when we took the tenancy !
    I would like to warn any prospective tenants of the unacceptable practices of this agent.

    If I owned property I would definately not try to let through this agent.

    I have attempted to let out 3 properties with this agent in marlow and in all cases I have had to ring about 5 times, each time being told I would get a ring back and then I never do.

    The staff are arrogant, rude, and act like trying to let a property through them is a complete inconvenience on their part.

    I found the two gentlemen I dealt with extremely helpful obliging and showing a genuine interest in trying to help us.
    Our property took perha`ps longer than first estimated to sell. However they stuck to their task diligently. Finally when the property was sold they were most helpful by making visits to the property that were perhaps a little out of the normal run of things. As I live abroad and could not attend to some of the buyers queries, small and niggly, the garage door did not open properly the electricity not on. Trevor made several visits to sort these things out. Even down to putting in three light bulbs which convinced the buyer the eelctrics were on! Yes i would certainly recommend them to other potential buyers and sellers.

    on a side note I could not enter the name of the town in the town section BRCAUSE YOU HAVE NOT GOT IT ON THE SITE!! I CANNOT GIVE THEM THE 5 STAR RATING AS THAT DOES NOT WORK EITHER maybe your site people need a rating!

    How this company are still in business I have no idea. Rarely am I moved to write a bad review but sometimes a business crosses the line of incompetence by such an impressive margin, it needs to re recorded. It seems there are a lot of people posting negative comments about this firm so my advice is to steer clear.

    I tried to rent a house through this company. The process wasn't pleasant, they were difficult to get hold of and made me feel I was putting them out simply by inquiring.

    I've used the lettings department of Simmons in Basingstoke for a number of years now and I've always found them to be professional and efficient. They've just relet my property in Kempshott without any gap and with minimium fuss.

    Simmons have offered me a huge amount of help over the last few years with regards to renting and maintaining my house. The service has been excellent and I would not hesitate to use them again and would recommend their services to other potential landlords.

Sandra White is I believe the wife of one of the partners in Simmons and Sons so this particular review is probably quite biased in a "bare faced cheek" sort of a way typical of this firm.
