A very unsatisfactory experience of late. Potter and Ford let our property on a scheme with the local Council but did no checks whatsoever on the incoming tenant. We dont even have the national insurance number of the woman to whom let the house. Needless to say we are £4000 out of pocket as rent was not paid and steps were NOT taken by Mr ***** ***** of Potter and Ford's lettings/management department to call on the Council's guaranteed deposit when things started to go wrong. I have complained to no avail as yet to the MD. In correspondence which we have obtained after the event Mr ***** admits that the Council - with who he has an ongoing relationship lent on him to take this woman - but adequate steps were not and have not yet been taken in relation to Potter and Ford's duties to their client the landlords.

Furthermore, Mr ***** of Potter and Smith without asking us or telling us and certainly without our knowledge or consent off his own back allowed a third parties to store an item at the house without even bothering to ask or tell the owners that he had done so. In short I certainly would not recommend the management department of this firm and I think that their conduct has fallen fall short of what one might reasonably expect
