   Uninterested telephone manner. This place is a 'computer says no' place where you are unlikely to see any common sense being applied. They were very unhelpful when attempting to get a release of deposit and didn't seem to care one jot. They may have been applying the letter of the law, but, strangely, were unable to remember phonecalls and did nothing to help out when the landlord hadn't sent a response (which they apparently had done...the case of the conveniently 'lost' email). Thankfully I am no longer in the area so will never have to deal with them again.

   I'm very surprised to see the negative reviews of Aston Mead below as my experience of using them has been excellent - so much so that I have now used them for the third time to sell my property. I have used them to sell before and also rented a property through them a couple of years back.

   I have always found their staff to be polite, diligent and friendly, and on more than one occasion have staff gone the 'extra mile' for me.

   It seems to me that the agent is very forward thinking and I was shocked by the high number of viewings I achieved - I thought it was supposed to be a bad market at the moment! My property was sold within three weeks of going on sale and I moved out last week - the whole transaction was extremely smooth from start to finish and I can't recommend these guys enough.

   This is the SECOND occasion when a male member of staff "James" has called us from 01932 260589, Aston Mead Walton-on-Thames, pretending to be from "RELOCATION SOLUTIONS" and making appointments to view our properties currently on the market for rental.

   "James" asks for an exact address, presumably to tout our properties, but has no intention of turning up and wasting our precious staff time. This tactic suggests they must be desperate for properties and that their landlords are not returning to them.

   This is a most unprofessional way to carry on their business and puts the name Aston Mead in disrepute. Our entry is written for the benefit of anyone who has dealings with Aston Mead in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey.

   This agency are dire - they are highly unprofessional and seek, when dealing with tenants, only to extract as much money as possible for as little effort and service.

   - When beginning my tenancy, there were complications dealing with their 3rd party referencing agency, which I had to resolve myself, with no assistance on their part whatsoever, despite having asked for it (and despite them being more than happy to take the fee).

   - After 1 year in the property, shortly after renewal, Aston Mead took over responsibility for managing for property on behalf of the landlord.
   Since then, they have harassed unnecessarily on multiple occasions following their 'property inspections', with rude, unprofessional and borderline offensive letters.

   I would strongly urge anyone seeking to rent in the area to look elsewhere, as Aston Mead are by far the most appalling agency I have ever dealt with.
   I would therefore also never even consider using them when I get around to buying.

   This agency is a joke. I viewed two properties with two different offices, and both sales staff were appalling. The first, from the Weybridge office, didn't have a clue about the property and remained virtually silent throughout the viewing. The second, from the Woking office, turned very confrontational when problems with the property were pointed out - as if it were his private residence in question. He also became very patronising when trying to show me how I could fit a wardrobe in an alcove space that was totally unsuitable. His entire manner was unprofessional - presenting himself in a dirty, stained suit as he did.

   A pointless agency that clearly employs the dregs of the industry. Every other agent I have met has been more knowledgeable and more professional than anybody I've met or spoken to on the phone from this disastrous little company.

   This branch is a joke. We had no hot water, no flushing toilets and one working tap in the whole house. They did nothing, nothing at all, sorry nothing we can do was all we got. Thankfully our landlord arrived back in the contry and got more done in 2 days than in the 4 day the agents had, I would not use these people to buy /rent/ use as an agent for a property at all, useless in every way and level.

   We tried to buy a house that was being sold by Aston Mead and the level of communication was appalling. I had to constantly ring for updates, was given assurances and deadlines and never heard back - it was entirely one way. After not getting a clear response for 5 weeks, we found the house has sold, and we were never informed. Terrible customer service.
