Advertised one of my rental properties with Visum, Not at all happy with the level of service received to date. I have voiced my concerns with the manager who appears to be trying to hide behind the data protection act and not answer my questions. I also arranged for a 'mystery shopper' to contact them, and it took 2 days for the enquiry to be sent through to me. When I questioned this they again said they could not give me the information I was asking for due to the data protect act. I am now i...

As a tenant they totally ripped us off!!! They supply an invoice for £180 for two credit checks. Once you have paid via Paypal they then tell you the criteria needed. We felt the information should be available to prospective tenants before they have to part with their cash. I needed a guarantor as i am a student although my income was enough(and we pay a higher rent at present) and my credit check etc is good. The landlord refused me because of this. If i had known i wouldn't have pai...

I am a landlord and have used the services of Visum on a number of occasions. They save me a fortune by avoiding the rip off fees charged by agents. The whole process is very simple and if you have any queries they are very quick to respond. Keep up the good work....

I have just sold my London home using Visum. I previously had an estate agent but after 6 weeks I realised that why should I pay an agent 1-2% of my sales proceeds for doing something that I could do myself. All they do is advertise the property on Rightmove and Zoopla and wait for enquiries to come in. Visum does the same for about £100 rather than the £5k I would have ended up paying to the estate agent! I took my own pictures, wrote my own nice long detailed description. Interes...

Excellent. Sold my house for ‚£100. The cheapest high street agent charges 1% + VAT would have been almost ‚£5k.

The whole process took a long time, hence my delay in writing the review, but that was a problem with the buyer's solicitor. The 'sale' occurred pretty quickly. Just be warned that they are not a hand-holding operation - you do all the viewings yourself, but then for ‚£90 to sell a house should you expect more? I would recommend them to anyone who has a little bit of get up and go and enough confidence to deal with people coming to look around their home....

My property is in a popular village, so that may have helped, but I had 5 enquiries in the first day and roughly the same for the next 2 days until I took the ad down. Highly recommended as long as you're happy to do some legwork (viewings and so on). I am because I want to personally meet people before I give them the keys to my house! If you want it all done for you then this is the wrong agent to choose, although they can do credit checks and supply a tenancy, but most competent landlords can...

I've used Visum as a landlord for a number of years and felt I owed them enough to write them a review after reading the above comments, which do not reflect my experience at all. Yes, all customers need to identify themselves but it's not a lot of effort. That's about the only hurdle. The rest of it is simple, and since customers write their own ads and set their own prices, the number of enquiries a property receives is really in their hands. Leads from enquirers are emailed and texted (is tha...

I advertised my daughters house on Visum for her, due to financial constraints she was unable to sell with an estate agent. I have two gripes with Visum. 1/ I asked a friend (he is a mystery shopper) to call up and enquire about the property and to give me feedback. His feedback was that the person on the phone could hardly speak english, infact, he asked if he was speaking to an English call centre. He was asked lots and lots of questions even though my friend stated that all he wanted was the...

PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, THEY DO NOT DESERVE YOUR BUSINESS.Visum have no integrity as a company. They took my payment to advertise our property on Rightmove etc as advertised, however, after taking payment they then stated that it couldn\'t be advertised, and refused to refund the money paid! That is theft. Paypal would not help as it was not an trackable item....

They make you pay and when they cannot deliver the service they REFUSE TO REFUND THE MONEY. I wanted to advertise the flat I live in because I needed to find a replacement for my tenancy contract - as previously agreed with ,y letting agency- and although Visum say they are happy to let you publish on behalf of agencies/friends/relatives etc, ONLY ONCE YOU HAVE PAID they tell you the ad wont go live unless you can prove you are the owner!!!! If you cannot prove it, they will not refund you th...
