What agent could do to change your mind?
I have no feedback for the agent, I\'m just totally disgusted with how they operate.
Services : Letting( As a Prospective Landlord/Tenant )Date: 8th Jan 2014
Viewed the property only to be told that another couple had already made a proposal to the landlord but that we should submit our own proposal. The property was in dire need up updating and therefore the landlord agreed that tenants could decorate. Our proposal was rejected the the other couple were then approved. Get a phone call weeks later saying the other couple "had been difficult" and would we be interested in moving forward. Agreed to meet the landlord and the agent at the property and explain a full proposal of decorations etc and commitments from us to the landlord regarding looking after the house which the landlord accepted and was pleased with. This included fully decorating the interior of the entire property at our expense!! Agreed to detail the proposal in an email which I then sent to Your Move. Julie at Your Move then came back saying the proposal was unacceptable which from what I could ascertain from her was only the case from the rigid engagement rules that Your Move use. Most other agents are pragmatic and flexible but Julie was rude, speaking over me contantly and totally inflexible. I have yet to receive a call or email from Julie at Your Move confirming whether we will be able to move into this property with the proposal I had made and that had already been accepted by the landlord but given the fact that the property has suddenly appeared back on RightMove I guess this is the best indication I can hope for.
This letting agent has appaling communications skills, no flexibility and clearly no concept of how to market and let a property that doesn't fit within their unflexible template or engagement model.
Even if I find the property of my dreams advertised through Your Move I would not proceed. The service is terrible, Julie in particular is rude, and to this day I don't actually beleive they ever discussed my proposal with the landlord so in this case the landlord has lost two prospective tenants solely because of Your Move.
Please take my advice and avoid..... if you do go ahead .... avoid dealing with Julie....
