What agent could do to change your mind?
As I said last time: they need to be professional in dealings with tenants and in my experience, aren\'t. They need to follow up on promises to deal with maintenance issues in a timely manner instead of leaving it for 6mths with no action. Meet their contractual obligations. It\'s really not rocket science.

Hi, I am a landlord and on the other end of the Fence, I have had so many issues with Whitegates Lettings so have now decided to collate the issues and get these in the public domain please email me any useable details of breach of contract, Over Pricing, Bad Service and so on. The living room carpet in the flat fitted very badly and generally not in good condition. Whitegates staff agreed it needs replacing - I said I\'d replace it and fit the carpet if they would negotiate a discount from the first month\'s rent. Paintwork throughout the whole flat needs redoing as it is yellow due to previous occupiers being smokers. The flat smells strongly of cigarettes. There is no shower rail. What agent could do to change your mind?
Turn up to appointments at the time allotted instead of saying \"I\'m running late\". If I can turn up on time, so can they. Lack of punctuality once is acceptable. Twice is unprofessional. Return calls when they are promised!!! Not once has this been done so far! Don\'t leave the prospective tenant waiting from Friday to Tuesday afternoon with no news, only to tell them when they ring that you\'ve done half a job. Be more professional about paperwork and putting things in writing to protect the tenant. This isn\'t a one way process just for the benefit of Whitegates. Expedite the process when the prospective tenant is ready to move. Why does it need to take several days to make a phone call or send an email???? Be more communicative! It takes 30 seconds to call me and say what has or hasn\'t happened and I wouldn\'t be so bloody frustrated. Send an email. Again, seconds to do, but it shows professionalism and keeps the client happy. It\'s not rocket science or difficult. Please, please pull your fingers out and do the things you are supposed to do as a letting agent in the timescale suitable to the client. Without a significant and immediate change in the way this is currently being dealt with by Whitegates, I would be very reluctant to deal with the company again. I will NOT recommend them to anyone who asks for my opinion.

I had a vacant dilapidated property to sell. I asked three local agents to advise me. One never replied, one sent a cursory one line e-mail quoting a minimum commission. From Whitegates, I received sensible advice, no minimum commission, and a valuation higher than I had anticipated. In less than a week, I had received an offer for the full asking price, with completion some seven weeks later. Whitegates did an excellent job and kept me regularly informed....
