Following having an offer accepted on a small flat in Woolwich in mid-December, and appropriate provisions made regarding mortgages, solicitors etc, all went quiet with agent. Over the course of the week prior to Christmas I contacted them via phone on a daily basis to be told that someone would get back to me (no one did). It was surprising then to find the flat I had an offer accepted on relisted on their website...! Obviously I sent a slightly disgruntled email to them (on Christmas day) outlining my concern at this. On the 28th December I was finally able to get an answer out of them, apparently the vendor had decided not to sell after all and I would be told the reason shortly. That turned out to be the last I heard from them. I am not one to write negative reviews but my advice would be to avoid this poorly run, unprofessional and disorganised outfit.

What agent could do to change your mind?
The agent could have taken on board what we as the customer actually wanted and when questioned not to resort to shouting at me the customer but actually try to rectify things. The branch manager if he tells me he is walking a hundred yards down the street to another agents to try and rescue a property that we are losing down to his staffs actions could actually do that.

I visited Ward with my elderly father who wished to sell his house to purchase a bungalow. We told the staff that all communication was to be through me his daughter he did not want to have one agent as he had chosen another on his high street to be joint agents. A valuation was booked with the agent Ann to contact me after to see how we wanted to proceed. The agent visited my Dads house told him he had a lovely house and he needed to sign a form for some photos to be taken. The form was actually a contract for single agency at a massive fee. They marketed the house the next day nearly 20k under a previous valuation a year previous. When I found this out I rang to complain the agent screamed at me down the phone. No effort was made to contact us after this and my father lost the bungalow he was after following stall after stall from Wards and their buyer. At one stage they told the agents selling the bungalow the delay was because my dads house has subsidence which it didn't as the survey had already shown. The manager of the branch Tarkan when I told him they had lost the bungalow said he would go straight to the sellers and sort it out. The sellers branch is in the same street as his he didn't bother. When after untold stress on my father I rang to say we would no longer let them sell our house I was told stick in writing bye. The most incompetent rude agents I have ever dealt with I shall be taken my complaint further though to be honest I don't think they would care less.

Courtney was so delightful she could not do enough to help me and she made me feel as though I was never troubling her. I still haven't found a property through Ward and Partners but with Courtneys help I have complete faith. She calls me whenever a property comes on the market and she is always as friendly and outgoing as the first time I spoke to her. I work in Croydon and she even helped me book a mortgage appointment in their Shirley branch. She is always there to help me and I can't thank her enough. I will reccommend her 100% of the time.

The Manager, Tarkan took a personal interest in the movement on my sale throughout. There were also several members of the team who were an asset to Ward and a benefit to me. Whether it was Annie, Debbie or Debbie (secretary) who took your call you could be assured of it being passed to the appropriate person, or of a speedy response. On occasions they were waiting on responses but I was always kept up to date and informed.

There were some hiccups, as always, however my expectations were managed entirely.
I want to pay tribute to this team, as this could have been a stressful time, but with the support of Ward it was bearable, manageable and above all I was listened to and treated like an individual. I could not be happier with my decision and would thoroughly recommend them accordingly.
On a final note, I was supported by this team the whole way through not until both parties were committed but up to and including follow up calls , mediation with solicitors and buyers through to as call following completion to see if I had any further requirements.
