Dismal service, contacted over a week ago to contact my landlord to renew my contract - they didn't even bother calling. This is a nightmare estate agent. Extremely poor customer service. Calls not returned. Emails unanswered. Option 2, accounts on voicemail constantly goes to voicemail as it is unmanned. You have to chase up to receive rent collected and yet its blatant refusal! Office is locked up on a Saturday afternoon and is not manned! Awful service. My tenant pays direct debt on the 4th, i have to chase Thomas and May constantly to get my money. Multiple follow up mails to get my money, with many unanswered. Late each month paying me. Emails system is dire. They use one email address for every employee. Disaster. Follow up is really bad. What should take 1 week max to sort takes weeks and months, with a constant bombardment of emails and phone calls. Constantly chasing them up. Terrible communication.. Their accounting d...

Fees are ok. But they make too many mistakes and terrible communication, which in turn makes the fees not worth it.

Absolutely appalling service from the lettings department. Over the past year or two they have consistently failed to pay the rent to me although my tenant never pays late. The rent is always at least 10 days and up to a month late. I can only believe they are grossly incompetent or making a mint on interest. Tantamount to fraud. The contract has not been renewed, they don't pass on messages or answer queries. Information they provide is usually erroneous. In short, they have provided no service...

What agent could do to change your mind?
Any service whatsoever would have been a bonus. They outright refuse any refund. I now manage my own letting. The sales staff seem fine. This is solely re lettings.

I have been a customer since Thomas and May took over clients from Bairstow Eves. In that time I have regularly had to chase up rent payments to me, despite the tenant having paid the agent on time. I am in the process of complaining to the ombudsman as I am now outstanding 2 months rent from the agent and despite several complaints by telephone and in writing I have received neither a response to my complaints or my money. Hi Mark, I have had exact same problem. If you have not already contacted Surrey Consumer Advice, fill in their online form and request that they report the agent to Trading Standards. They have been very helpful but they need more reports to add weight to the complaint against them. All the best.....
