We were shown to 2 potential properties in Wollaton very close to each other by a older female staff member. The first viewing was going well and the staff member was friendly and helpful up until she asked us if our current house was on the market yet, to which we replied no. As soon as we said this she stopped speaking to us, ceased to show us around and became very cold towards us and left us to view the remainder of the house by ourselves.

She then met us at the next property a few streets away, where she showed us very quickly around the property, didn't speak much to us other than to tell us where each room was and didn't even allow us to view the dining room until we went past her to view it anyway. She then hurried us out of the house and had left the property before we had even got the keys in the ignition!

Appalling service and so rude, unprofessional and assumptive. So bad was this experience that where we had only been looking at properties marketed by The Nottingham as we had purchased our previous property with them and had no issue, we decided there and then not to view any more of their properties.

We went on to view properties with several other agents and purchased a house quickly and easily in a very short time frame for the same price WITHOUT SELLING OUR OTHER HOUSE. We were in a position to buy without selling and so without chain and did so in 6 weeks. The assumption was made that as we were a young couple with a baby and our house was not on the market that we were not in a position to buy -this is how we were treated -like we were wasting her time, and she asked no further questions to us regarding our position to buy.

We are over the moon with the property we went on to buy, so thank you very much to the woman at The Nottingham for her terrible service as it prompted us to look elsewhere.
