Steeped in history, Dartmouth's narrow streets and cobbled lanes contain an abundance of chic boutiques and galleries, as well as assorted gourmet restaurants, delicatessens, pubs and cafés.
Keeping guard above the town is the world renowned Britannia Royal Naval College, designed and built in 1902 by the distinguished architect Sir George Aston Webb. The port has approximately 2,800 moorings and the river is navigable from Dartmouth right up to the weir at Totnes.
