Many thanks to Rob for making what was becoming a stressful process of finding a rental property, a pleasurable one. He was very helpful, always available to answer any questions and an all round friendly guy. I've dealt with letting agents many years ago and in comparison I have to say Rooftops are up there so I would definitely recommend them....

As a lady I have dealt with Rooftops since 2000 on a let-only basis. During that time I have always found them extremely helpful and efficient. On a few rare occasions when I used other agents I realised just how much more thorough and reasonable Rooftops are! I have used the Letting services of Rooftops (initially Wilmslow and then Macclesfield) since 2003 and always found the staff and their services to be first class. I have been renting for over 10 years with just as many agency's and roof tops is one of the worst I have ever had to do business with. We were lied to in our house veiwing, we were told the property was on a different council tax band, LIE (turns out it was one a much higher one!) we were told the flat was on a water rate LIE. I was writing a bad review anyway but now so relieved that I wasn't able to rent property from rooftops based on the other reviews. The first property went to view couldn't access. Second was told about a damp problem just before but viewed anyway and after 6 months looking thought found right place subject to landlord advising on repair. As a former landlord myself I've spoken to my tenants to gauge what Rooftops is all about. Here are some negative points for potential tenants and landlords to be aware of: 1. Rooftops has a clause in all contracts that says you cannot change utility provider. This is illegal, if you pay for bills then you can change, full stop. Laws cannot be revoked by any contract. 2. completely agree with the above post. Rooftops seems to be geared towards the tenent rather than being fair to both. Furthermore they will always bumps up repair bills to a point where you done actually get much return (you dont get much in this area region of the country). ...
