Shireen recently dealt with the sale of my house in Wakefield. I found her very approachable and it was like dealing with a friend. Made the whole experience much less stressful. I would highly recommend Richard Kendal and Shireen in the future....

It was like a breath of fresh air when Lucy introduced herself as a new member of the Kendals estate agents. She is very professional , positive , efficient and easy to speak to. I can highly recommend Richard Kendall in Ossett. The sale of my parents house was pain free and I can\'t praise the professionalism of Melanie Robinson and her team enough. Melanie kept me well informed of all developments by email and by phone dealt promptly with any queries I had, including liasing with the solicitor. Living 200 miles away from the property meant I couldn\'t be at the viewings, but I had total confidence in Melanie and her team and the house as a result sold very quickly...

During what became a tortuous process of buying and selling properties lasting almost 16 weeks, Melanie worked tirelessly to ensure we were updated on information. This estate agent is painfull to deal with. They simply add no value to the person trying to view / buy a property from them. I\'m looking to purchase and let up to 3 houses to let in the area and the response was \'we\'ll put you on our mailing list\'.... I am capable of looking on rightmove. Once I\'d selected houses to view, the response was at best lack luster. If I was selling a property I wouldn\'t let them pay me to represent it. I find it hard to believe that they sell anythin...

When giving notice on a property we had rented for 28 months, Richard Kendall\'s letting staff began calling us relentlessly to arrange for viewing at less-than-convenient times (bearing in mind we were in the process of a house move) to come and take "photos of the property for the website" which they already had and had posted on the property\'s ad. I strongly recommend you STAY AWAY from this estate agent. the staff are all really impolite and really cocky, not to mention the man himself, Richard, being extremely rude and telling me to leave the office. They would not accept a fault of their own and are really bad at giving the customer what he asks for, completely diabolical....

Complaints Procedure

OUR COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE


 


We are committed to providing a high quality Estate Agency service to all our clients and members of the public.  When something goes wrong we need you to tell us about it.  This will help us to improve our standards.


If you have a complaint, please write to the Manager of the office about which you have the complaint Ҁ“ either Wakefield, Ossett, Horbury or Normanton and they will deal with your complaint.


What will happen next?


 



  1. We will send you a letter acknowledging your complaint, within 3 working days and will ask you to confirm or explain any further details we need. 

  2. We will record your complaint in our central register and open a file for your complaint.  We will do this within 2 working days of receiving your complaint.

  3. We will then, promptly, start to investigate your complaint.  A formal written outcome of our investigation will be sent to you within 15 working days of the receipt of your complaint.  Our investigation may involve one or more of the following steps:


 



  • We may ask the member of staff who acted for you to reply to your complaint.

  • We may examine their reply and the information in your complaint file.  We may then ask them for more information.  This will take up to 3 working days from receiving their reply and the file.


 



  1. We may feel it beneficial to invite you to meet with us to discuss and hopefully resolve your complaint.  We will do this within 3 working days of receiving all the details we need from the member of staff who acted for you.

  2. Within 3 working days of the meeting we will write to confirm what took place and any solutions we have agreed with you.  If you do not want a meeting, it is not possible or it is considered not necessary, we will send you a detailed reply to your complaint. 

  3. At this stage, if you are still not satisfied, you can contact us again.  Our Partners Claire Kendall and Simon Kendall will then arrange to review our decision within 10 working days.  In the event that the complaint is about, or involves Claire Kendall or Simon Kendall, then Richard Kendall, The Principal will review our decision instead.

  4. We will let you know the result of the review within 5 working days of the end of the review.  At this time we will write to you confirming our final position on your complaint and explaining our reasons.  We will also provide you with the Consumer Guide provided by Property Ombudsman for Estate Agents.  A copy of the The Property OmbudsmanҀ™s Code of Practice for Residential Estate Agents will also be provided to you, upon request. 


 


If we have to change any of the timescales above, we will let you know and explain why.
