We've only been with RentLocally about a month, and only just moved into the property, but so far they have been brilliant. Very friendly and helpful staff, especially our property manager, Liz. The property is in excellent condition, very clean and well maintained. The paperwork was handled very smoothly and efficiently. We look forward to being here a long time....

Never believe a word they say to you in person or on the phone. Make sure you have everything in writing (and I mean everything) before agreeing to anything. Their customer service is appalling, rude e-mails, not replying to e-mails. Their emergency service took two weeks to arrange replacement of a fuse. Be prepared for lots of regular visits when you're not there. Ideally, have nothing to do with these people....

My wife and I moved from Inverness to East Lothian and made the mistake of renting a property from these cowboys. We were assured that it was a long term let as it was a companies investment rather than someone's house. As soon as we moved in we discovered several problems with the property which we reported immediately. We had a severe damp problem in two of the be rooms and the central heating and hot water system did not work properly. The damp problem finally got solved after 5 months but...

I have been letting property for 15 years now and I can honestly say that this company has great assets that other letting agents can learn from, basics from being quick to answering phone calls to even faster to returning your calls with the answers you need. I will be using them for my other properties when one becomes vacant again. Great company great staff ! Try them you wont regret it!...

I clearly cannot recommend rent locally. This company is friendly when they meet you, even when they visit your rented property. They will say everything is fine, but afterwards they will start to complain and make a real hassle out of everything. If you rent from them really be aware, make photos of everything, document it, what is the state, because afterwards they will tell you different story, and ask you to pay. If you find parts that are not in shape in the property it will take ages till ...

What agent could do to change your mind?
The agent should be honest, if there is a problem do not be nice when visiting the property and later on complain by email. If agent visits property before I leave, should give clear criteria about what should be put in order. If I as a tenant have a problem with the provided furniture, I do not want to discuss twenty times and send photos over photos of broken, stained and dirty furniture before I get it replaced. The agent gets paid by the landlord, so he should do a good job maintaining the property in a good order and not use the landlord as an excuse for his unabilities. The company should make clear that information is passed from one agent to the next if one goes on vacation, so that I do not need to explain again and again what the problem is.

Our first time renting , Liz Currie property manager was excellent , Liz could not of been more helpful , nothing was to much trouble for her , all our questions were answered with ease & the property was excellent , we had to terminate our rental agreement quicker than expected & Liz was very understanding & helped everything to run smoothly for us ,we certainly will recommend rent locally to all & if we need to ever rent again rent locally will be our first choice Wishing yo...

Rentlocally took all the hassle out of renting my property making sure all the boxes had been ticked and all the official stuff taken care of. There now seems so many rules and regulations that it is nice that a reputable company like Rentlocally is looking after my flat now for about five years....

I have just rented out my first property through Rent locally and from day one I have found their service totally hassle free. My property was rented in less than 2 weeks from going on the market. My flatmates and I rented a property with Rent Locally from August 2011-August 2012. It is fair to say that they have made me very very upset, and I feel that they have robbed me of £102 for unfair cleaning charges. During our stay we had to put up with no hot water for a period of at least two weeks, we asked for painting to be carried out which was not carried out until a month before our tenancy was up (ridiculous?), in the first week bailiffs turned up at the door as the previous ten...

They could not have charged us ‚£102 in unfair charges in the first place.
