I went into the Fishergate Branch to look at property that might be in my price range for the area I am interested in, not having put my property on the market yet, and not yet ready to do that, the people in the office were not deterred by me not committing to a valuation of my property. I found all staff very obliging and professional....

This agency is a JOKE. Honestly, I have no idea how it's even possible that they still exist. I had countless issues with them: booking appointments and not showing up, not passing maintenance information to my landlord (I know this for a fact as he told us) or informing his very late, wrong information in the system regarding my contract extension, still using my old contact number which I updated few months ago. If you can, STAY AWAY from this agency. You need to pay them huge money for every...

Reeds Rains as a letting agent is good but believe charges too much for the initial processing compared to other agents in Preston. However, the staff is very helpful and understands the tenant....

Reeds Rains were a dire letting agent. They were both incompetent and greedy. I approached Reeds Rains in June to secure a letting in September as I was moving in with a friend who had a spare bedroom. They happily charged me their administration charges and was promised that all would be ready for September. So I went abroad for summer and came back to find that nothing had been sorted out at all and not only that but I would have to pay the administration charge once again as the credit ...

An itemised breakdown of what the fees are for would be rib-splitting stand-up comedy material. I paid them ‚£240 and never even got to the stage of signing a contract even after 5 months of genuine effort.

We were looking to rent a property in the area. At a viewing arranged by Reeds Rains, we were shown a barn conversion by the owners of the property which we liked very much and decided to take. We spoke to the owners who were very happy and immediately went to Reeds Rains to sort out the paperwork. I was absolutely incredulous when I was told by a rather snippy lady in the office that we would be charged £240 pounds EACH simply to apply for the property. When I asked what this was for I wa...

What agent could do to change your mind?
It is more about the company policy of Reeds Rains as a whole. Until they change their policy on ridiculously high \'application fees\' I could not be persuaded to use their services.

The reference process is too Cumbersome. They are taking more than 1 week to confirm. Along with which, they contacted my Previous Letting agent whom I had not notified. I was awaiting these guys to confirm the property before I issue notice.....

The service we had from Reeds Rains in Preston was fantastic-up to the point we signed the rental agreement and unlocked the 7 months of hell we were getting ourselves into. The house was filthy on the day of move in comparing to when we first viewed the home. They had the nerve to lie to us and tell us it was clean beforehand, the branch manager saying "I used to be a squaddie, I know clean." The walls were marked and unpainted and the carpets smelled of wet dog. We cleaned it as b...

My first experience of letting through an agent and not one I\'d be quick to repeat. We are halfway through a twelve month tenancy and at this moment we\'re not 100% sure what we plan beyond that. We love the house but have had and are continuing to have issues dealing with Reeds Rains which would go away if we were dealing directly with the landlord. The spark that has initiated this is after having called their maintenance "helpline" several times and being put through to the only pe...

Donna\'s assistant called me 30 minutes before my booked valuation to say that she was doubled booked and wouldn\'t be coming. During this time she clarified my details. At this time she said she new the properties on the street and gave a description that did not match. She went on to say that she valued the property 9 years ago and that it was worth £40,000 less than what we wanted to list it at. The property is newly refurbished and 2 months after this conversation we sold the property ...

They do not keep your personal details confidential. I gave my details as required to check my credit in order to being able to rent a property. Even before i get my confirmation of the let, a company rang me and offered me house content insurance. i knew all my personal details. I rang Layland Reeds Rains and a member of staff told me that they have passed on my personal derails. Also after moving into the property i realized they they have transferred the energy supply of the property to the m...

I work for Reeds Rains. Firstly, let me apologise that you felt unhappy with the service that you received. it would have been reeds rains that called you about house insurance from our Exeter call centre. Lots of tenants do not take out insurance so we try to give you competitive deals to save you time and money. Secondly, nearly all tenancies are transferred to spark energy. The landlord agrees to this at the time of putting the property for let when they sign their terms and conditions. The....
