I brought my 1st house through Peter Lane and mostly dealt with Anne-Marie. I couldn't be happier with the service I received from Peter Lane and in particular Anne-Marie. She was extremely helpful, even when things were not exactly her job to do, i.e. helping me chase my solicitors when I was having trouble contacting them. I dealt with several staff members, but Catherine was the 'lead' person. She was always positive and very quick to respond to queries, and they all gave an efficient service. My sale took 8 months from start to finish but that was due mainly to the buyers who were undecided about moving. The team at St Ives flagged up properties for me to buy, and were generally very helpful. In the end I also bought a property through them and all went well with that. So many thanks to them all....

I used Peter Lane in St Ives to sell my property and could not have had better or more friendly service. They found me buyers very quickly, twice, the second time when the sale fell through. They kept me up to date with events all the way through and very promptly, either by phone or email, and they chased problems for me, both with my solicitor and with other issues. We used Peter Lane to assist with selling my elderly father's property. What an excellent service. From start to finish we were communicated with at all times, the staff were very quick to respond to any queries which they did in a professional and efficient way. A mixed experience overall. Pre sales good - post sales not so great. Lack of info and comms in general. I think the test of a good agent is how a buyer is dealt with and I felt they could have been better. The sale fell through and I heard nothing about other potential properties....

What agent could do to change your mind?
Communication. Keep buyers in the loop and you won\'t lose them. A sale may have fallen through but I could have bought a property soon after yet they didn\'t keep in contact.

As a buyer I received lots of attnetion prior to agreeing to buy, but nothing thereafter until completion day when I received a call of self congratulation on what a bargain I had found. Pretty unimpressed with anyone I spoke with, they usually appeared to terminate the call ASAP, and rarely answered an email without my calling to chase it up. What agent could do to change your mind?
The agent needs to maintain focus throughout the buying process to completion, and to ensure that absence is covered so that customers are not ignored, as I was frequently. A bit more \'friendliness\' wouldn\'t go a miss once the sale is secured either, I felt like I was being a pain in the backside just for asking basic questions.
