Jo, Sam who showed you around the property has a printed diary at the start of his day. On that are the property viewing details, the landlords phone numbers, the viewers phone numbers and the price of the property either for sale or for rent, so there is no margin for error and there wasn't on this occasion. Sam has no recollection of the conversation and when the appointment was booked you were aware of the advertised price, this hadn't changed from before you viewing, on the viewing or after ...

Hello Sam. Unfortunately, maintenance issues arise in older properties and cannot be helped. When a maintenance issue is reported to us, we then have to relay the issue to the landlord and then take the landlords instructions as to how to proceed with contractors. This process takes time. With regards to the end of your tenancy, a detailed move out inspection has been carried out and has been compared to the inventory report from when you moved into the property. The Fence has been replaced to a very high standard and all paid for by us. I should have been made aware that the owners where going to pay their halve directly before we proceeded. As it was the approve came from Pearson and Ferrier which implied that the usual management process was being followed and the payment would come out of the monthly rent Pearson and Ferrier collects on the owners behalf. ...

The £75 fee for a credit check would have been fine if the information that came back was accurate and in date like other agencies such as experience but also it wasn't. This is the first experience ever being forced to pay for something that wasn't right.
