I don’t do reviews, and in my 62 years and numerous house sales, I have never felt happy enough to write one about an estate agent.
Emma at Parkers, and Parker’s in general, are the exception to the rule. I have seen another review stating how proactive these guys are, and I can only echo that sentiment. They earn their money and Emma worked incredibly hard on my behalf, especially with my useless solicitors. I really felt Emma was “on my side”, and really pushed things along through some quite complicated negotiations.
I resent paying commission, but in this case, they were excellent value for money.
Never thought I’d say that about an estate agency!
Highly recommended.

Horrible experience in trying to book viewings for different properties.
Just to give you an example:
In September they made us lose a property since we had an appointment booked but, on the day of the viewing, I had to call again since I hadn't received an address and they couldn't find our request.
We had to book on the next available slot, but on the same day they cancelled because the property already had offers and we couldn't participate anymore. Ok, nothing to do, let's move on.
In November, 2 months after, the same property comes back in the market.
We call them straight away and we book an appointment for the next day.
Calling them on the next day, again the booking was not saved, so I asked them to please send us an email confirming the booking.
Guess what? Again the viewing, 2 days after, got cancelled.
Now, the reason for cancelling is fine, however it doesn't justify the misplaced customer service.

Absolutely fantastic. I used Parkers in Tilehurst to buy and sell my property and was so impressed with how professional I found them. The Manager Oliver Goff was incredible. On completion day we even received a goodie box of tea, biscuits, a flask and helpful tips which was fabulous. I would certainly recommend them totally for honest, fantastic service. Well done.

The seller I brought from were using Parkers (Tilehurst). Before this I had a few viewing of other properties with them, where they were on time and shown each house in a good light. What also help was that they were not overly pushy, which has put me off even seeing houses with other estate agents. When it came to the stage for me to put my offer in, there were three different offers and kept me informed of standing of my offers. After this everything went smoothly, they even helped me find a surveyor for asbestos when my lender require extra information on the state of the building. all in all, I put my offer in early January and I had then completed by early March, I would definitely recommend to friends and family (or use myself) when it came to selling in the area.

My partner and I were looking for a house to rent. I came across a property I really liked on rightmove so I called the Tilehurst office to arrange a viewing. Whoever I spoke to asked for my name (I have a foreign name) and number and said the lettings manager would call me back the next morning, he never did. I called back the next afternoon and spoke to the manager who said he had forwarded my number to the landlady but he was not sure if the property was still available as so many people had called about it. I waited two days and called back and they told me the property was most likely no longer on the market. I could still see the property on rightmove though so I asked my partner (who has an English name and accent) to call and confirm. Two hours later they gave him a call back and let him book a viewing at a time that was suitable for him.
