I have read the numerous comments found relating to Oliver Bond and have to say that unfortunately can Identify with every negative comment. Constantly fobbed off with excuses, calls not returned, passing the book, rent not paid, money always owing. As a tenant or landlord please use another agent in the Greenwich area....

The staff member that dealt with me didn\'t go as far as introducing herself; she barely looked at me in fact. With the consideration that an estate agent is a customer facing representative about to be paid far too much for too little work, she was honestly the rudest and most contemptuous person I have had the displeasure of encountering. Avoid and head to one of the many other estate agents in Greenwich - if they can not even raise a smile or a pleasantry then I can not believe they ar...

Overall: Terrible experience. I rented a flat through Oliver Bond, and overall my impression is that they are incompetent, and I would strongly advise people to avoid if possible. Our deposit has been impossible to get back after months of moving out, despite the landlord having no issues. Having them return phone calls or emails is also incredibly difficult. There have been several other issues which I have never experienced with any other lettings agent. This all came as bit of a sh...

I created an account on this website just to let everyone know how bad this company is. After my experience, I am convinced that Christopher Bond is a cheat, and he is dishonest and unreliable. The man should be put into jail. I was looking to buy a property last year in the Greenwich area, and Chris and his colleague Lisa Fairhurst showed us a few properties. We liked one of them, and enquired about the vendor\'s situation. We were told that the vendor would only agree to an offer at the as...

Please do not use this company.. If you are still a tenant using this agency I **strongly** suggest you check that your deposit is protected - which it probably wont be. You are then legally able to reclaim your deposit with up to 3 x in compensation NOW rather than waiting when your tenancy is over as you have less rights. I strongly recommend you take this action as you are very unlikely to get your deposit back otherwise....

Horrific experience. Absolutely horrific. I would advise you strongly to stay away from these guys. It\'s all okay when you\'re handing over your money, but when it comes to the end of your contract that\'s when the fun and games begin. No one came to meet us for our check out, the checking out inventory never took place, now we\'re having to take legal action simply to get back our deposit. We have done nothing but be reasonable and when you speak to Christopher on the phone it is SO easy to be...

I cannot suggest in strong enough terms to landlords and tenants that you stay away from this agent. They were dishonest to both me and the tenants and would demanded a huge amount of money until the parent of one of the tenants (a legal exec) stepped in and warned them there would be legal action. I lost thousands of pounds through dealing with them...

We rented a house from Oliver Bond for over 2 years, They put up the rent by £200 at the end of the contract as the Olympics where on at the time. We left in June and are still waiting on them to resolve our issues with the deposit we paid them, having to take it up with solicitors. as they do not reply to emails, are rude and extremely unprofessional....

They have lots of hidden fees and lies. They were trying to force the tenant to pay several taxes which are landlord's responsibility. They are rude and do not reply to emails. They are very unprofessional. I wish I knew about this site before having to deal with them. Overall it was a very unpleasant experience which will make me pay more attention in the future. I strongly advise you to avoid this agency....

We rented a flat and didn't have any problems with them, they worked very hard to find us what we were looking for, most was out of our price range but we found something half decent eventually they seemed to work extra hard to find us what we wanted, moved in now i don't see what the issue is with this company...

As a landllord I had to constantly chase OB for rent due to me, even when 6 months was paid up front it took 2 months to get that money from them. EPC certificate was paid for and never carried out and previous tenants have not received deposits. The owner is a real charmer too, don\'t be fooled, they shouldn\'t be allowed to trade....

Numerous problems with Oliver Bond: slow to respond, rude and full of excuses (a classic one is "the person dealing with your matter is on the other line"). When it was time to get them to release the deposit they took over 4 months and solicitors had to be involved. They needed constant chasing and provided a very poor service. With hindsight I should never have used them: they are a complete waste of time. STAY AWAY!...

It took me 6 months and £500 in legal fees to get my deposit back from Oliver Bond. This was despite having prepared and supplied all the paperwork in good time and given notice as required. Essentially, until I got lawyers involved, Oliver Bond kept reducing the amount they would release. Allegedly they were unable to speak to my old landlord for about *2* months! Then they stated I had not given notice (that is because *I* was given notice)! Then they sent part of the moneys to a random ...

They should have been honest and returned the deposit in a timely manner (14 days as per contract and not 6 months). They should have done it w/out me having to resort to lawyers.

Amazed that they are still trading! They are an absolute disgrace and would put anyone off letting a property every again. We let a house from them in Greenwich, and they failed to register our deposit for about 6 weeks, and only did so after we issued a County Court judgement against them. When they did register it, they did so in their name with the landlord as the tenant! What was more worrying was that there were countless other judgements against them which were still outstanding. Usua...

Have used Oliver Bond once, and will never touch them with a barge pole again. They are rude, impatient, and full of lies. University failures who are obviously motivated by the talk of a sales (on target earnings) job. Oliver Bond are clearly ruthless, as they don't give a damm about how you (the Landlord) is treated. With any vacancy being leached on by several property agents at a time....

I found Christopher Bond to be extremely dishonest and had to start with legal threats in order to get paid. Be careful, he will tell you whatever you want to hear in order to get your business. Once you have instructed him, then say byebye to any customer service, all rents/ payments will be in arrears, you will have to employ debt collecting agencies to chase him, so many lies coming from him, from over valued properties to deposits non refunded to tenants, deduction of fees without the landl...

Let me start by saying that they are the most useless and unprofessional company I have ever had to deal with. I have been chasing my rent for 3 months now and everytime I call I get fobbed off with another story and I get told that the accounts lady is not available. I have spoken to the accounts lady (christine) only a handle full of times, she is so rude, and does not know how to deal with people, ignores emails and like the other review says she does not know her a** from her elbow. Still ...

I think impossible to get your money back is probably more accurate. After 6 months following the legal process we have managed to get some of our tenants deposit transfered to the DPS, but they still owe us over 2,000 in fees. If you got any moneyback from them, congratulations!....

I contacted OBL (Oliver Bond Lettings) in August 2010 to let a 3 bedroom house in Greenwich. I found their service, just honestly no service at all. They never communicate actions taken by themselves, involving taking money from my rent monies, (which they hang onto) or information vital to the letting process, They never respond to e-mails or letters.I have sent them many e-mails, 3 letters, and have received just 1 e-mail back from them. They collect rent 6 months in advance from the ...

Please do not use this agency. They owe us £4,000 and if you search them you will see there are 7 outstanding CCJs owing around £150K (as of 15/4/11). All this explains the slow payment of monthly rents and poor service standards. But the most worrying part is that despite the tenancy agreement containing the DPS details the deposit taken for us was not protected (this is an offence and puts the landlord in a tricky position) and despite us terminating the agreement the deposit ha...

We found out about the CCJ's a couple of months after we moved in, when they continually failed to register our deposit with the DPS. (A certificate is issued by the DPS once the deposit is registered for the agent to forward onto the tenant.) I issued a claim through the county court for fee of around £80, and then phoned them to say as there were so many outstandings debts, we should skip straight to bankruptcy proceedings. The deposit was registered within 24 hours.....

Absolutely dreadful service. Do not use, there are far better agents who are honest and trustworthy. They are unable to send paper work properly, bump up the prices of property through greed, have really bad relationships with tenants and landlords and are generally incompetent. You will regret using this agent so don't... It can be reflected in the properties that they have sitting on their website for months and months, unable to properly promote them, the high prices and the standard of the ...

I've been renting in London for around 12 years and I've never encountered any agents/landlords as appallingly unprofessional as these. You'd think that there would be laws in place to regulate this kind of behaviour. *****, is extraordinarily hard to deal with, like dealing with a petulant child. Don't expect any repairs to be done without a mammoth battle, and when they're finally done it'll be a cheap bodge job. Don't expect reason, politeness or anything approaching professionalism. Avoid li...

I would strongly recommend to not choose Oliver Bond letting agents. We have had a very bad experience with them right from the start. Their initial holding fee is too high and they have many hidden fees and charges. None of them were informed till the last minute. Service is bad. Avoid them if you can. Also we are now having a real porblme getting them to admit that they are holding the deposit. They are not part of ARLA or the Deposit Fund. If we had seen this website and knew that they are no...
