I was appalled by the rental team at ocean let's Gloucester Road! The manager actually watched me nearly cry in the office over anti social neighbours and the staff member told me she wasn't in the office and I couldn't make an appointment even though the manager was sitting on the desk opposite! When she finally spoke with us she was cold and patronising and aggressive! Highly unprofessional behaviour and they rent out sub standard flats!!! I was appalled and I have rented for many years...

Outrageous I was charged 500 pounds in relisting fees as I had to leave contract early due aggressive and anti social neighbours who lived in he flat above. They refused to not charge me due to no fault of my own and then stated they had nothing to do with the issue and it was up to the landlord. They promote this property and is on their books!

Terrible Service - Avoid at all costs As a landlord I have experienced lies, severe delays in responding to my emails if I get a response at all, overcharging, and when I finally decide to leave them I get a £250 sting in the form of a 'downgrade fee'. Disgusting....

*The most serious issues for which they charged £300: * I signed a form and paid a deposit for a *tenancy* to be a tenant. A few days before moving in they finally sent the contract which was a *lease agreement*, and I was to be a lodger. Upon questioning this, they refused to make it a proper tenancy, glossing over the fact that my deposit no longer needed to be protected, and that I could be asked to leave the house with half the normal notice. The staff are rude, and refused to offer...

Had the misfortune to be a tenant on an ocean property for three years.incompetent on multiple levels with some terrible company policy. I won't bore the reader with every single detail, but leave a single anecdote. Our property contained a dishwasher in the contact which broke down early on. We contacted the agent who sent out someone about two months later. Telling us that the dishwasher wouldn't work (despite it working for months prior and why did they install it in the first place or put it...

I came away from Ocean feeling patronised and condescended to by their staff. There was a distinct lack of clarity at every stage of the process and communication from them regarding whether or not we had been agreed to take a house was not good. There also seemed to be vastly too many prospective viewings for the properties that we saw, (the second had 20 viewings that morning) so not only were we rushed through our viewing, but also needed to queue with five other parties, (and we were one o...

What agent could do to change your mind?
- Greater clarity and communication regarding where the process was at. - More polite and less pedantic staff. - Greater clarity over exactly when the holding fee would be returned to us. - Fewer viewings for properties with some minimal feedback if rejected.

This estate agent is not to be trusted. It was clear that the agents conspired to increase my offer on the grounds of being gazumped by a fictional party. This was put into effect by initially not issuing a bill of acceptance of the offer price, followed by not updating RightMove as to the status of the property being "sold stc" for more than week. If your offer has "been accepted" but details are "it is in the post" and the website will "update in 24 ho...

We have received a consistently poor service from Ocean despite numerous complaints. - The extortionate agency fee is a joke - Their ability to draw up contracts correctly is highly questionable and slow - Whenever I report a problem with the property they are slow to respond; have little to no enthusiasm or sympathy to get it fixed and on the last occasion I had to spell out what had to be done "try calling the landlord so you can get a faster response than email" - it\'s not roc...

in accordance to the complaints below (as previously communicated to them) they could respond to them! They need to listen to customer feedback and act on it. I\'ve seen no improvement from them whatsoever and absolutely no care or concern about doing so. Their attitude is shocking and needs to change. We have received a consistently poor service from Ocean despite numerous complaints. - The extortionate agency fee is a joke - Their ability to draw up contracts correctly is highly questionable and slow - Whenever I report a problem with the property they are slow to respond; have little to no enthusiasm or sympathy to get it fixed and on the last occasion I had to spell out what had to be done \"try calling the landlord so you can get a faster response than email\" - it\'s not rocket science! - We had a change of tenancy which threw them completely - surely it isn\'t uncommon for one person to move out of a property and for another to stay whn it\'s a rental property? - Correspondence is consistantly sent to the wrong address, wrong person or wrong email address. - They don\'t keep us updated with any ongoing jobs so we\'re forever chasing information.

When we visited the branch to sign our contract, they seemed helpful and kind, but weren\'t very forth coming with information. Such as not informing us of certain clauses in the contract, seemingly trying to take advantage of our young age, luckily we read the small print. We signed a tenancy agreement with them to move in July. And since we signed they have been very unhelpful, we couldn\'t get hold of them on the phone and none of our messages were returned. We finally received an email respo...

They charged a £300 fee, and for what? - They didn\'t find us a new housemate, we did (via Gumtree) - It took 1.5 months before the \'right person\' was available to set up the contract (a renewal, not a new one) - They never contacted any of the references required - Despite having our full details they never contacted us, not even when you ask them to - They don\'t keep appointments - Extremely slow to pay back the deposit, and never even checked the property before paying it bac...

I was extremely impressed with Ocean. We viewed a few properties and were always assigned the same agent. This meant we did not keep on having to explain our circumstances. Jason got to know us and what we were looking for and hence, when our initial purchase fell through, he found us the perfect house. The thing which struck me most was how honest and trustworthy he was. If a house had faults, he didn't gloss over them or try and put an estate egent's spin on them. He was upfront and direct and...
