The bullying tactics used by Northwood, Sale, are nothing short of obscene. Suspiciously, two previous comments I have placed on all agents have disappeared. quicker response to emails. Actually sound like you want to help your tenants. I would highly recommend they get away from this landlord as the property is falling apart. the flat below us which i am guessing is owned by the same landlord had water running down all 4 walls in their apartment. they were also suffering from a leak pretty much the whole time they lived there. Most tenants moved on pretty quickly which im not surprised about at all.

Also to update this review. After Moving out, a checkout fee of £70 was added to be removed from our deposit. this wasn't on the agreement that we signed and we had to fight to get this removed. We were also charged £100 for a professional oven clean on an oven that was pretty much unusable when we moved in. the reasoning we were given was. I was very disappointed with this agent\'s performance overall, they vastly inflated the sales price of this property in question, there was a £20K difference between what they valued the property at to the actual final sales price. Their fee was not flexible either as the competition came in lower. I would never ever deal with them again. I have absolutely not faith at all in money grabbing agents that think of themselves rather than their customer - the seller!!...

They competently managed firstly the initial refurbishment of the property prior to letting, they then managed various tenants, certificates, repairs, etc without me having to travel over there to see to things myself. Rude. Poor service. Despite us ringing to confirm northwood did not turn up to prearranged viewing . The house owner was surprised when we knocked on their door which was embarrassing for us. Complaints Procedure



Northwood aims to run a high calibre lettings and estate agency business.

Whilst we do our best to operate in a professional way and to the highest standards, it is possible that you may be unhappy about how we have dealt with a particular situation.

We have a standard procedure for handling complaints which is as follows:-



Making an initial complaint



Each office is independently owned and operated and has a local Director who will be, in part or in whole, an owner of the branch. In the first instance your complaint must be directed in writing to the local Director. He or she has an honest and sincere desire to resolve your complaint as soon as possible and should respond within ten working days.



Making a formal complaint



If for whatever reason you remain dissatisfied then you should:

Please provide full written details of your complaint and copies of any supporting evidence.


The Complaints Officer, who will provide an independent review of the complaint, will investigate your complaint.



Receiving your complaint



We will acknowledge the receipt of this written complaint within three working days and explain our process for resolving it.



Resolving your complaint



We will then investigate your written complaint as soon as possible and write to you as soon as we have completed our investigation. This process should take approximately 21 days.

In our letter (the final viewpoint letter) we will explain:

Ҁ’ The outcome of our investigation.

Ҁ’ What we will do to put things right if we have made a mistake.



Ombudsman Review



If you are still unhappy at this stage, you have the option to take your complaint to the Property Ombudsman within six months of the date of the final viewpoint letter.


The Property Ombudsman will not investigate any complaint that has not followed the in-house complaints process.
