"I rented a house from Martin and Co agency. I lived in their property for 10 months, but at the end, they deducted an excessive amount from my deposit. I was surprised to be held responsible for several pre-existing damages. To make matters worse, their email handling team was extremely rude and unprofessional. They assumed we were responsible for pre-existing issues, which was unfair. However, I must say that some of their staff were excellent, particularly Pier, who handled the initial deal. Nevertheless, when it came to addressing issues and deposit returns, they took an inordinate amount of time. In my opinion, they need to improve their services and communication.

Have contacted Martin n co Winchester for times about a property they so call look after in the weeke area . You speck to them about the problems they do nothing to help you at all . I have been using Martin & Co in Winchester both for letting properties as well as selling one of them very recently. They understand both markets very well and do so by initiating and developing excellent local contacts in Winchester and surrounding areas. Against all the odds they managed to sell one of properties in a 5 week timescale in spite of the present pandemic with all the associated issues. I strongly recommend anyone in need to either letting, purchase or sales advice to contact their Director, Julian Bessey for the very best advice. GS

I've had some bad Letting Agents and Landlords before, but these guys have to be the worst letting agent I have ever had to deal with. I've had some bad Letting Agents and Landlords before, but these guys have to be the worst letting agent I have ever had to deal with. I understand people have stressful jobs, but having no heating for four months during winter, and only providing us with a temporary heater after kicking off, that's just plain negligence. A flat with only three windows and the window wouldn't open, took them three months to fix, over summer of all times. There is so much I can complain about but just to sum up, they are trying to now charge myself and my girlfriend for £360 worth of damage, that was there before we even moved in. The reason obviously is because the landlord, who also must be a horrible human being, has decided to sell the place, so all the sage over the years (it was actually a horrendous flat) we are now being charged for, even after complaining about it when moving in. They have no empathy and whenever I used to walk past their office, they did absolutely nothing. I'm going to file a formal complaint, and get legal action if needs be as they do not deserve to still be running as a business, heard similar stuff from other people. I thought it was just the Winchester branch, but it turns out it's the lot of them. I wish I could give 0 stars because I am astounded they haven't been disbanded. I can imagine their evil little faces laughing at this review, but I hope to god none of them have jobs still in four months time, because I am utterly disgusted. Good luck getting that £360.
