I had an exceptional experience using Martin & Co for both a house purchase and associated sale. The brilliant and knowledgeable Laraine kickstarted it all with a detailed and helpful overview of the house I was interested in and that very much encapsulated what I was to expect in the following weeks.
The finer details when it came to market my home were also beyond expectation. Professional photography to do my home justice, a 100% precise floorplan, video tour and strong promotion.
But when that's all said and done, you're hoping you have someone in command and control when it comes to sales progression. In Lorraine, I was fortunate to have an absolute diamond. Totally on it throughout, chasing where necessary, guiding all parties involved, updating and making things move with pace. She was truly superb. It underlined that a good team can get by with 1-2 decent people, but a great team requires everyone to be on the ball and Martin & Co certainly have that.
An estate agent who go beyond the call of duty and who are highly recommended.

I could not be more satisfied with the cheerful helpful professional way that the staff at Martin and Co conduct themselves, but in particular I have to say that Richard is the unassuming Star among them. When I come in to renew, they are always no-nonsense and fast and efficient. Ideal!

I was let down by this agent. I rented a managed property through them, and despite promises that certain problems with the property would be corrected when we moved in, they were never addressed – including some that risked our safety.
Further problems with the property were not responded to, despite raising them numerous times. The most recent being a defective boiler that has left us without heating or water – an engineer was never sent despite numerous emails.
I wouldn't recommend this agent.

Awful experience with this company as a tenant and subsequently prospective buyer of a property. Poor customer service and tried to make us pay for costs that are the landlord's responsibility. Very unresponsive when a problem needed fixing. Be warned they charge excessive fees at both check in and check out. Ended up not renewing contract because of them.Spoke to landlord who was unaware tenants treated so disrespectfully. He was obliged to find new tenants when we decided not to renew contract at extra cost. As a prospective buyer of a property I also tried to get an appointment to view a property but they never bothered to return my calls. Ended up viewing it through another Estate Agent, mentioned to the seller who was pretty shocked as they had at the time booked no other appointments in.

They made us give a deposit for £360 to secure a property. They had already had an offer on the property from someone else (they deny this, but we have it on a text).
