We currently live in rented accommodation and our washing machine very recently stopped working! I have had a few dealings with poor maintenance agencies but Julie Twist has got to be the worst one I have ever dealt with. I moved in 3 months ago and requested some relatively small (but inconvenient) things be fixed around the flat. It has been months and the agency don't even bother to call back despite emails and answerphone messages every week. I rented with Julie Twist for two years and a half and would NOT recommend them to anyone. Perhaps you will be treated well if you are buying a house or a landlord but I'm confident you will not if you are renting. The fees are similar to other agents. They may be higher than one or two of the other Estate Agents but I feel they are worth the extra for the level of service you receive and the feeling of comfort you get knowing they are dealing with your business.

Is unacceptable that from the deposit they take you money for things that the previous tenants did; that they don't give any notice that your are going to have visits; that for the references you have to pay and they don't fix the broken things. We are paying too much rent for the house that is old and with broken things. The agent Sandira Williams is not able to answer your mails or calls except when it's about money....

I am sorry to see that you felt the need to leave a 1 star review, I can assure you that we do not take money from a deposit that a previous tenant had done. When you moved in to the property you were given a detailed inventory and the opportunity to make any comments. If you felt there was damage to anything at the time of move in then these would have been noted and you would have not been charged. At the start of your tenancy you would have been informed when inspections were to be carrie ...

Worst service I've ever had as a landlord! There is a communication problem between staff members! I give keys to one staff member and then get an email from different one saying we dont have keys to ur property! One person in this office was too rude in her communication with me! They once before lost a key and lost pictures of the property so had to put it on market with one picture of the building!! Don't think I'll ever deal with JT again....

Complaints Procedure

Julie Twist Properties
Complaints Handling Procedures
1.    Any complaints to be dealt with under this procedure should be in writing.
 
2.      The Office Manager or Director of the company is responsible for the particular branch will initially deal with the complaint.
  
3.      Your complaint will be acknowledged within 3 working days of receiving the initial complaint.
 
4.      You complaint will then be fully investigated and a detailed written response will be made.
 
5.      If you are not satisfied with the outcome of our initial investigation, your complaint will be reviewed by a Julie Twist the Managing Director either by e mail to Julie@julietwist.com or by post to 237-239 Deansgate, Manchester M3 4EN and a detailed response will be made including our final view point.
 
6.      In the event that the final view point still fails to satisfy your complaint, you have the option to refer the matter to the Ombudsman for Estate Agents within 6 months of the final viewpoint letter.  The Property Ombudsman, Beckett House, 4 Bridge StreetSalisbury,Wiltshire SP1 2LX.  Tel: 01722 333306   Fax: 01722 332296.
