Absolutely brilliant company I can't thank them enough they initially managed my property for several years then when I decided to sell Amy on the sales department sold the property for me which was very challenging but she sorted it for me. I never had to chase her she always rang me with updates and she came up with solutions to problems that arose and I am just extremely satisfied with Hunters as a company and I will say that Amy Buckley who works there is an absolute credit to Hunters estate agents. All staff over the years have been so polite and helpful. I even received a Christmas cards from them every year as well. Honestly I recommend anyone uses this estate agents. Thank you and all the best. Simon.

It made me select a star so had to choose one but absolutely 0 star for the rude, unprofessional, nasty individuals who work at hunters Crookes.
Nearly all the staff are patronising, stuck up and never, ever know what they’re doing. Nothing is done properly and takes months for them to arrange any sort of work on properties etc. I can’t believe landlords pay for their input they are completely incompetent and shouldn’t be taking payment for their service as its minimal at best.
Zero manners, zero ‘customer’ service skills, they don’t even look up from their desks if you go in to the office let alone greet you. Just avoid Crookes branch altogether really imo they really are pieces of work.

What can I say? Joanne is an absolute wonder! She only took on our sale late on after our agent at another branch had a bereavement, and she was absolutely amazing. The whole process of buying and selling has been a horror show with difficult vendors threatening to pull out, useless buyer's solicitors, and things thrown up at every stage, but Joanne was a terrier, chasing up even the purchase side of our transaction, which wasn't her job, but since the purchase estate agent was really unhelpful, Jo chased both them and all solicitors and constantly kept me updated. I genuinely believe this move wouldn't have happened without her. 100% recommend!

We applied for a property with Hunters which sadly fell through. We had already paid the holding fee. We received an email to refund the fee and provided the details for this immediately. The legislation states that holding fees must be refunded within 7 days, however 9 days later, we are still waiting. Numerous emails were sent to Hunters Crookes Sheffield which they chose to ignore. Only via phone call did we get updates to say they had passed it to the accounting team for a refund. Day 10 and I emailed to request a complaint be raised and I finally got a reply, to which they would pass this again to the accounting team. This left is with very faith as we had heard this before. I then requested a timescale for this, yet again, met with no reply. I called up to check again to be told it had been processed and would be in my account that evening, shortly after 5pm, the accounting team had sent it and emailed me. They sent no email to advise this as they claimed, and come that time, no refund made. As this is now 10 days and over the suggested timescale, we have no alternative but to look into the redress scheme that Hunters are a part of or speak to trading standards. We have been more than fair to give time for this and understand due to the unprecedented ongoing situation, that they may have less staff working in the office. The communication with Hunters has been abysmal to say the least and the service extremely unsatisfactory.

Absolutely shocking customer service. My friend (currently in Brighton) and I (currently in Lincoln) are hoping to move to Sheffield and viewings are difficult to come by I understand the circumstances but Hunter's have gone above and beyond to make it a complete waste of time and money. Earlier this week said friend arranged a booking for me to go to today (2:30 pm Thursday 25th June), he was told on Tuesday this was the earliest viewing they could do. I showed up on time, waited, no-one arrived. I looked through the email confirmation and it turns out they have mistakenly booked the viewing to be on Thursday 23rd July by mistake. I call up, politely explained that there has been a mistake made for the date of the viewing at this property. Now mistakes happen of course, just that alone would not have not been ideal but what can you do. However the receptionist customer service was atrocious. I asked if anyone would be able to show me around the property that afternoon as they had made a mistake with the booking and I'd driven over from Lincoln just for this. After some back and forth and unwillingness to accept that Hunter's had done anything wrong the woman on reception then told me that my friend had called up the night before to cancel the viewing, so I explained that this was not true but she continued to say that is what had happened, effectively calling me a liar. I asked for the name of the person who had called up to cancel this booking and eventually she told me their name is Alexander, which is not my friend's name. She then told me that the property had been let agreed two days previously anyway, but they had not bothered to email to let us know. I said that it was still showing as available on Zoopla that morning but she said there can be a delay with these third party websites, but she told me on their website it had been removed. So either way this was a wasted journey. She apologised but said there was nothing they could do, how about petrol money reimbursement for the waste of time and money? After the call I checked Hunter's website and low and behold the ad for the rental property in question was still showing as available, which in fact made her a liar. I explained all of this to my friend who called them and he found out that Hunter's had messed up at every step of the way. What a shambles.

If I could give Hunters Woodseats 0 stars I would have done. Elliot (I think his name is) and Jack were lovely and very helpful every time we called, but the manager Joanne was the complete opposite. I found her very rude and patronising when communicating with her throughout our house purchase. But on our day of completion we were told at 9.30 that the vendor had been told by Joanne that we were unable to move on the date agreed and that the move had been postponed. I had only contacted the estate agents to ask how I was to collect the keys on the Wednesday prior to completion. I do not know why Joanne said this, if Hunters conveyancing and Hunters estate agents actually communicated efficiently then this would probably never have happened. I do not know why an estate agent would have any involvement on the completion date in the first place, but to say I had rung to say I couldn't move on the date agreed is ridiculous. Further more, she has never actually admitted to her mistake, just repeatedly said she doesn't know how it happened. I appreciate honesty personally, and if someone had admitted to it and apologised I would not be writing such a terrible review, however I have since contacted Hunters to discuss numerous things in the house that are not working, as has my solicitor, and I have had no response. I have never received an apology for the stress we were put under on our completion date or even had the issue acknowledged. I will never buy or sell with Hunters estate agents and I will tell everyone I know not to aswell. Avoid!!!

As tenants we are absolutely appalled with the customer service received from Hunters from start to finish. After waiting over a month for our application to be processed the staff made errors on our contracts, having not amended as directed to, resulting in us having to pay an extra months rent. When communicating with the agents they were horrendously rude and obnoxious, no interest in answering questions or helping in anyway. They also use unqualified contractors who bodge works resulting in the property being worryingly unsafe. WE WOULD NEVER USE THESE AGAIN.

I was informed the garden would be completed by may 2014. today the garden has not even been started. The landlord was descbribed by sue as a hands on!! he is useless and never comes out to sort any problems such as mould and damp all over the windoes, extractor fan does not work. sue promised me the garden would be done by may 2014, the landlord has no intention in doing the garden. Hunters say what you want to hear, would not recommend them at all. Our tenancy agreement ran out last month and have contacted Hunters to ask what to do and Dan who does not seem to know what planet he is on has said he will ring back but never does. Sue has now apparently left hunters. I have complained several times via email to the agent and never recieve a reply. They take your cash then bin you off.

Although staff sounded helpful when arranging a viewing for a property, I discovered this agent to have poor management skills.
I had to travel approximately 50 miles for this viewing as we are in the process of relocating for work. I got a phonecall in the morning of the day of the viewing asking to confirm that I still was able to see the property - a totally normal thing. However, the agent had forgotten which property I wanted to view as they had not written it down and I had to tell them.
Then ten minutes before the viewing itself, when I was standing on the street already, I received a call to say the viewing was cancelled because they were unable to find the keys to the property.
Terrible way to treat people and safe to say I am not looking for houses to rent through this agent ever again.
