Hunters did not follow my advertising instructions. They did a good job for me as a buyer and have some hardworking staff. Unfortunately, my experience with them as a seller did not match this. No one was coming and when I asked them to remove a detrimental photo of the garden they dis-instructed me. Agents who do not follow clients instructions and who dis-instruct clients do not deserve to have any clients. An entire autumn wasted with misdirected advertising of the wrong features.

House sale pulled out by Seller within 4 days of verbal agreement
We were after a house purchase in Middleton, handled by Hunters, when we ended up losing the house twice. The first time, we viewed the property, really enjoyed what we saw - but when wanting to come back to view the property again (note: this property was on the market for over 2 months with no offers accepted) - it had been taken off the market as an offer was accepted.
Fortunately for us, the property then got listed on the market again as the buyers pulled out within a week of making the offer. We got our second viewing and made the offer the next day - which was accepted ahead of a bank holiday weekend in August.
Suddenly, on a Thursday we get a call saying the house is off the market and being sold to a cash buyer. The offer was pulled away from us with no consideration.
Unfortunately this is the way the housing market still operates that gives both parties no repercussions after behaving in an ill-mannered fashion. Whilst verbal agreements are not binding - it is not the best practice that agencies managing sales do not reimburse the buyers they bring in to a verbal agreement whilst letting the seller (at best - charging the management fee which never sees all affected parties!) walk off.

Having rented a property through Hunters Beverley and used them to source a property to buy I had nothing but excellent and helpful service from the staff. When however we bought a property via another estate agent and terminated the lease on the rented property we had the misfortune of being dealt with by Leanne who it transpires is the manager / franchisee. She was abrupt, patronising and unhelpful in the extreme sending me to obtain a meter box key that she openly acknowledged Hunters held but refused to lend it to me "in case it went missing". It appears that if your interest with them could provide income they will assist but beware when their income from you ends.
