We made an offer on a house which was accepted. Then a week later we found the property is still on the market and Hodders called to let us know that someone else has put an offer in, which means we might need to increase ...

My advice when you make an offer that is accepted is to confirm that it’s taken off the market which you then swiftly follow up with a survey to expedite the process. If you don’t do that the seller will keep it on the market - Also noting that the agent acts on the sellers instructions. ...

What agent could do to change your mind?
They could have tried to understand my concerns instead of brushing them off and refusing to clarify matters for me. They could also have given me the simple respect of answering my emails within an acceptable time limit without me having to constantly follow up with them.
