I used them for several years renting out my houses. The one word that applies to Hamptons is consistent. They consistently messed up, misled, lied, and provided poor, inadequate or non-existent management for my property. They were awful to my tenants who complained bitterly. I had to establish a close rapport with the tenant and we sorted issues out between ourselves. Over priced and rip off charges. The worst check in and check out checks ever. I had to take one tenant to court due to the horrible condition they left the house in. The check out report said everything was fine. I presented photographic evidence and asked for compensation, and was told this was a third party and I would have to take it up with them. Frequently incorrectly billed me, and always in their favor. I threatened them will legal action on a number of occasions just to get a response. Getting records from their head office is like drawing blood from a stone, and as for the attitude you are given! Ye gods! I am changing agents asap. Never again. For anyone renting out a property or looking to rent, take my word for it (and everyone else) steer clear of this bunch of useless unprofessional lying obnoxious robbers! Just the worst! Use at your own peril!

Tried to make an appointment to view a flat in Windsor, despite 3 phone calls requesting viewing, am still waiting for them to call back with a confirmed date after over 4 weeks, although flat is still being advertised. Unsurprisingly the flat is still for sale!

DO NOT touch this estate agents with a barge pole! They are money grabbing lying thieves. My property manager has changed three times throughout my short tenancy as they obviously cannot stand to work there themselves. Half way through my tenancy, I changed my joint tenant and was presented with a list of charges up to £500 to do so. When I questioned this, they reduced it to £0 as they couldn't back the charges up. At the end of my tenancy, I asked to leave my tenancy early only if new tenants can be found to take over my charges - my landlord said this was fine. Hamptons again presented me with a list of charges up to £500 even though I know other estate agents do it for free. When I asked them to justify these charges, they told me they couldn't and told me to go away and seek legal advice. After I submitted a complaint to Head Office, these charges were dropped to £0. Again. I eventually ended my tenancy half way through the month having paid a full months rent. I asked for the difference to be refunded. I left messages every day for EIGHT days before anyone at Hamptons even asked my landlord to refund this (why on earth did this take eight days?). Two days later, having still received nothing, I started emailing/leaving messages to chase my refund again. Nothing. Received an out of office from the manager at Windsor so forwarded my email to general lettings for assistance. No response. Chased every single day for the next week and no response. The day that the manager is back in the office (almost two weeks later), I receive an email saying 'oh we received the money from your landlord yesterday'. Coincidence? I think not. I have NEVER dealt with ANYONE who is so incredibly poor at customer service. I have never left so many emails and messages that have been ignored. I will NEVER deal with this branch ever again and when I come to sell next year if you dare send me any 'we saw you property for sale, can we help' letters, so help me god.

What agent could do to change your mind?
They took money that didn\'t need to be taken and their customer service was awful. I\'ll be taking Legal action against them shortly.

I would never recommend them to anyone and will be dropping by the property after vaccating to inform them that will never see their deposit again - As I certainly won't. Awful company and awful people.
