We sold our 4 bed semi with Haarts last Oct. we were at first a little dubious that they would sell it at the price they said they could get as they were higher than other Estate Agents, however; to our delight the house sold very quickly at the price they said it would. The team under Jenny's leadership worked tirelessly to get people through the door- special mention to Luke who was a great ambassador for the company and to Alice. They were always on time, well presented, mannerly, polite and effective at their jobs. Great job to the team and I would definitely recommend them.

During our purchase we came across issues, however no question or matter was too small for Haart - no phone call was left unreturned, no email was left unanswered and we felt like valued customers. Our sale unfortunately fell through twice but Haart helped us both times; giving us advice on our next steps, our best options and never made us feel as though it had been a waste of time.

We have already issued interest in buying through Haart in the near future again, and have highly recommended them to close friends, family and others who are looking to buy around Torbay.
Luke, Claire and all the team made us feel very valued as customers and ultimately did all they could to keep us as their customers happy and fully informed at all times.
Couldn't recommend enough.

We viewed a property with Haart Torquay and decided that of the 5 we had seen that day, it was our favourite, although we had a couple of queries. Throughout our dealings with the agents, however, they repeatedly failed to reply to our telephone calls, or return calls when they promised to do so, and we had no evidence that they actually put our queries to the landlady, which they had promised to do. In the end we went with another agency, since we decided that if this is the way they treat prospective tenants, we didn't want to see how they treat people whose money they already have! The last contact I had was at 9.45 on 1st July, when I was told that Dec would phone me back when he returned to the office at 11.00 that day. To date (12th July) I am still waiting. We will not be considering Haart as a potential agent for letting or buying in future house moves.

By far and away the worse treatment from a letting agents I have experienced in over 10 years
After viewing a property and authorising payment of £200 holding deposit the agent then informed me of a minimum guarantors income of £20,000 which had not been previously mentioned. In conversation the following day the same agent recalculated the Guarantors fee for £2,500 more than the previous day, making it £22,500. He also told me that if the guarantor fails to meet the requirements I will be deemed to be pulling out and lose my fee. He then encouraged me to use a joint Guarantor even though he had also previously said that would not be accepted, which head office also agree with, which makes it look like he was purposely attempting to make the check fail so Haart could keep my money.
In attempting to resolve the situation the manager will not call back, despite repeated assurances from branch staff he will. I will update on this issue either on refund of the holding fee, or outcome from a Small claims court.

This letting agent is underhanded and incompetent.I strictley informed them upon me signing the contract the deposit and the 6 months rent the tenants where paying up front had to be paid into my account,this they agreed,on the day i went into sign the contract i was informed they where ready to send the money into my account but they would need me to sign the contract first,i was unsure about this but i had no reason to think they would pull such a fast one,so i signed,as soon as i had finished low and behold ashley the manager came upto me and said im sorry we wont be able to send the money to your account it needs to go into our account to be processed,i said why,he said the head office had requested it,and yet i had srictly informed the head office,ashley and his assistant henry this was not to be the case,the reason for this was the tenants where paying 6 months advance,a large sum ,which was the reason for there good credit rating,also on the contract there was no mention of this ,only they where paying monthly,ive also heard from another customer from haarts ,its taken a long time for there money to come through so im sure you can understand why i wanted the money straight away plus i didnt trust them anyway,just a few other things for your notice they did not put my advert in the paper,they put the sign in the wrong place,the staff didnt know how to find the place when showing people,they also put the wrong tenantas address on the contract,they tried to charge me more for there fee and theres more but i wont bore you,just to say i didnt even get an apology,disgusting and disgraceful they can treat customers like this ,especially the manager who seems indifferent about this,they dont care unless they get there money even if it means ripping you off and its not just me, since then ive talked to other people who have used them ,they all say the same ,there crap,so be warned!
