Please, please, please avoid them. This is the kind of company that you're warned about when you hear about housing in London. We rented an apartment in the Strata building and here's everything that went wrong: 1. Ridiculous fees. Apart from referencing, you pay £360 for the contract. But this doesn't include everything, as you will pay £90 every year to extend your tenancy. Don't want to extend it? Too bad, as there's a check out fee of £90 in the contract as well. I assum...

You pay them £360 for the contract. Then £90 if you want to extend it. Every year. Minimum charge for all repairs are £30 per the contract. There's a "check out fee" of £90 in the contract. So yeah, it's a ripoff.

The only reason these people received 1 star is because I couldn't give 0. They messed us around to no end before we got the place, telling us we had an apartment then canceling multiple times When in the apartment they made promises about repairing damaged but have now told us they have no intention of keeping said promises now in the apartment and had many problems with heating (firstly no heating), they promised to send a contractor who just turned it off and on again then left- did...

Poor service for four years as a management agent. Problems ignored. No communication as to difficulties encountered. Simply uncaring and not good enough. Notice has been served....

I wanted to write a review on the excellent service that I received from Chris Courtney of Gordon and Co. I recently instructed Chris to find tenants for my lovely one bedroom property on Browning Street SE17 after struggling for 5 weeks with another agent to find tenants. The whole process was easy from start to finish. Chris met me at the property and advised a value which I was already marketing the property at. Within 72 hours Chris had found a professional tenant to move into the property t...

The fee was more than the other agent but for the extra fee, he got me much higher rent and a tenant straight away. I am more than happy.

They do not provide a good customer service. They do not care about the tenants at all. For the high rent I paid there I expected 5 stars service but they provide 2. There is no respect of your time. At the end of the tenancy they booked appointments to show the flat to to new tenants and Kwan once came into the flat while I was still there and was not expecting him to come as he said he would show the flat earlier. On the day of the check out the cleaners they recommended were late and I had to...

We dealt with Christopher Courtney at Gordon & Co. (Strata Pavilion). We were looking for a good flat in Southwark. He was helpful and thoughtful and he helped us along the whole process, from the very beginning of the search till the initial settlement in a really outstanding flat near Strata Building. I am quite happy with this agent as he also kept in touch during our first days and weeks to check everything was going well and comfortable for us. The agency fees of Gordon & Co. were e...

Dominic gave us plenty of excellent advice, and was efficient, communicative and very helpful throughout. Tia, who was evidently rather new to her job, did brilliantly and achieved an excellent rental for us. Tia\'s inexperience did create one or two minor issues, but with the backing that she received from Dominic and the rest of the team at Gordon\'s the end result was excellent....

Quite possibly the worst agency I have ever had to deal with. At every turn they seemed to try to make life as difficult as possible for the tennants. Lots of examples of this, for example after two years in the property it needed some work due to minor wear and tear (wasnt oin the best shape in the first place) but instead of taking this reasonably we were threatened by the Gordon and Co that they would advise the land lord to end our tennancy and re-let as fully furbished. At every stage th...

What agent could do to change your mind?
Charged realistic fees and employed staff with some training in dealing with people. Often what they said was technically and legally correct but a conversation with a letting agent should be amicable and not who can get away with what within the boundaries of the law.
